11. do you listen to music when writing?

of course fam, that’s how i get into the mindset of what i’m trying to right about!!! how else do i write pining if i don’t blast some conan gray first? how do i write a fight scene or an angry scene without blasting 27 by fall out boy? music is my best friend in writing hehe (my spotify wrapped is going to be horrendous this year) 

13. hardest character to write

wOW GREAT QUESTION i actually typed akechi at first and then i immediately backspaced because i wasn’t sure anymore. akechi is the one i take the most time trying to characterize well, because he’s an extremely particular person and it takes a lot of effort to try and nail him for me. but the real answer is honestly yusuke. he’s really really tough to write because i truly have no idea who this man is or who he’s trying to be. which is so sad, because i love him so much. 

49. writing advice

do not shy away from writing, and do not shy away from posting. i mean it!!! before i did escapril this year, i was terrified of posting cause it has to be perfect and flawless and it has to be the best thing on ao3. that’s bullshit bro. writing is practice--you will never perfect your own work, and that’s just something you have to learn to stop being afraid of. do a writing sprint! do a month-long writing challenge! share drabbles with your friend! just keep writing until you’re not afraid of writing anymore.
