I ran rabanastre a few days ago and the extremely well geared pld in my alliance wanted to main tank but then this asshole drk is like "stop trying to main tank you will never hold aggro over me" (she did tho) and then went on and on about how drk was superior even while we were in fights and everyone was like "are you done"

Lol I love when people are proven wrong and yet can’t own up to it and instead continue to try and be a cocky asshole, but nobody cares about them or their rambling.

Okay, speaking as a DRK main myself I can safely say that DRK is a viable option for MT. But that doesn’t mean that we are BETTER than a PLD. Besides it’s common courtesy to just let someone MT when they say so. Or you know… hold hate over you. That DRK was a jerk :T

My painting teacher doesnt want us painting fairies or aliens or anything fantasy because its “lower level thinking” art and wants us to paint “art history stuff, not deviantart stuff.” I dont think ive ever been so angry and confused before....

Your are teacher, and this is a technical term, ain’t shit.

Now, there are benefits to doing realism studies, undeniably so.

But there’s a difference between saying, “we’re going to develop your technical and spatial skills by using real world references and objects, so that you can learn to create convincing physics and weight, which you can then apply to making art based on non-referenced ideas,” and saying, “your fantasy art is kiddie stuff.”

One encourages you to develop new skills and improve existing ones through technical exercises, before applying them however your artistic heart desires.

And the other discourages you from pursuing art at all, through shame.

If I could reach your art teacher directly, I’d them them right to their face that they ain’t shit, either. But I cannot, so I’ll just tell you:

That’s stupid and they’re a bad fucking teacher.
