Forgot to post, but I volunteered at Hebrew Senior Life on Tuesday! The residents had a little music festival in the area outside. I helped bring people downstairs to see it, hand out necklaces, blow bubbles for them, and just generally be there to help out!

Community servings!

During my time at community servings I scooped, packed and bagged food for people in need who are unable to cook for themselves. It is a really interesting experience learning to work in a big fast moving organization and I enjoy being able to help out the community!

Day 2 of Intro to Surgery! We learned about the anatomy of the eye, eyes surgeries, and the cardiovascular system. We also watched videos of eye surgeries like LASIK and cataracts surgery. We practiced more suturing. I put a video in 10x speed of me practicing a new type of suturing I learned today!

First day of my Intro to Surgery program! We learned about the basics of surgery, including types of surgery, fields of medicine/surgery, OR roles, tools used in the OR, and wound types. We also practiced different types of suturing!
