#hiatus updates

In a few days I'll take a flight home so I can bring some stuff I left there with me in Austria, and of course, that includes my art supplies as well, so that means... That the hiatus will soon come to an end!!

I've got so many ideas, I can't wait to come back and share all that I have in store 🙏🏽

November Update

Biggest and most important update: The Edge: Gideon WILL begin posting on Nov. 19. WattPad posting will continue on the same delay as always for the time being.

Other updates in order of importance:

I'm keeping the patreon on hiatus through the end of the year. It's entirely possible I'll be shutting it down entirely. I still haven't decided, but I am leaning towards shutting down the patreon. (If I do cancel patreon, I'll probably have to do Site Move #3 to accommodate the fact that SquareSpace's prices have gone up, but that 's a decision I have to make when I have less on my plate.)

I'm not doing NaNo this year. I have a lot going on this month and can't really commit to it, so you won't get to watch me flail around/fail. That said, I am still chipping away at edits and stuff, so yeah.

I'm doing fine otherwise! I mean, God of War: Ragnarok is coming out next month and that might kill me, but other than that, I'm just living my life. So there is that.

If you're reading this, thanks for sticking around! It really means a lot.

Hiatus Announcement

As expected, the hiatus will be extending through all of October. I'm still hoping to be back to normal story posting in November, but I'm unsure of how patreon content will work for the foreseeable future.

Full disclosure: due to a combination of life changes and The Economy(TM), I may be completely changing how I do monetary support and the website. I won't stop writing, not by a long shot (you'll not get rid of me that easily), but I don't have as much time or mental bandwidth as I used to, Square Space's prices are going up, and I don't want keeping up with content to become such a burden that it makes the content Less Good. I don't know what this will look like, but for now this is what I'm hoping for in the upcoming months:

> Aiming to resume story posting in November with The Edge: Gideon.

> Not sure if/when patreon content and billing will resume; this is largely going to depend on how much of Gideon I get done by November and how I'm feeling mentally.

> The site stays on Square Space until the start of my next billing period (Feb. 2023).

> In that time span, I will decide if I'm staying on Square Space or moving back to tumblr (same URL as before, to be clear), what the payment model will look like (if I decide to keep one at all), any changes to what kind of content is posted and how that might change, and start making any necessary changes.

Now that I've had a moment to just, breathe...

Regarding my presence on tumblr, I'm kinda loosely keeping my hiatus status around until at most February given my old pattern of existing until November and losing writing muse until January/February. I might answer a few things here and there if I feel up to it - I intend to answer some things before Christmas - and I've still been around enough to occasionally lurk and check my notifs. I'm still, quite obviously, not in a good state for calling myself back entirely however so I don't wanna keep attempting or making any promises; my only promise really is I'm not gone.

I apologize for my outburst a few mins ago, things are... rough. I'm still available in dms for friends so don't be afraid to pop in and say hi, I definitely need to get better at doing that myself. I appreciate all my mutuals, ty for being so patient with me and sticking around. ❤

Semi-Hiatus Updates

Thank you to everyone who is being so patient and understanding about my lack of content. At the moment I'm fighting to keep from being evicted, and I'm working nearly full time to support my family. My laptop isn't working, and I have no wifi so any content that comes out is typed on my phone, and edited and formatted by my incredible best friend @dragonofthenorth0726.

As for where I'm going from here? I'm writing longer pieces by hand, they'll be ready just as soon as I have a way to type them up and edit them. In the meantime, I have two more prompts waiting to be posted and I'm going to continue posting prompt lists. If you want to see content, please request prompts. Thank you for all of your patience and support, and I promise I will be back just as soon as I can be.
