Hida Kokubunji Pagoda, Takayama
Hidayama Musume song monument, Takayama.
This statue of a young girl playing the harmonica had an ancient look to her, and caught my eyes immediately.
I only found out during my research at home that opposite her, on the other side of the road, was another matching statue, both were facing away from each other. A bit of her is literally visible at the edge of the photo I took, I can't believe I missed her!
These two statues are part of many "Song monuments in Gifu Prefecture" that beautifully incorporate different songs to the scenery of Gifu.
The lyrics for Hidayama Musume were etched carefully onto the stone, and split between the 2 statues, I did my best to write them down. Even though I'm learning Japanese, I still didn't recognize half of the Kanji that was used, you'll have to forgive me.
Based on the very little information I could find, I think the lyrics were written by Hiroshi Yoshimura, during the early Showa period.
Both statues can be found at the crosswalk near Takayama Station :)

You're making great progress with the series! I'm amazed at the speed you work. Do you have a plan for how many episodes the series is going to be?
Hello!
Thank you very much!
Each episode is different to make. Depending on the amount of animation, bgs, effects etc. and how much I can work on this project (my freetime is limited just the way everyone else does) the progress can variate a lot, which is why I always tell people not to adapt a standard pace based on my previous working progress. Sometimes I make little progress and sometimes I make great progress. At times I don't make any daily progress and then there are times I can finish several minutes in one day.
Making this series is a continuum where many factors determine the outcome, especially all the other things going on in my life. Zwei is my art project and not my way of life. This is also why I can't predict the future and give spesific release dates (even though this is something people ask me on regular basis).
Please spare a minute to look the Zwei-blog where all the info is listed for now: -> https://princesstutuzwei.tumblr.com/ Episodes etc. are listed right there.
