Capture the Flag

The match started and Suddenly the team was surrounded in an unnatural Darkness, Ren and Mikazuki grabbed our flag and moved towards the Lake, Ratake moved towards the edge of the Lake, suddenly there were Genin attacking Ratake from everywhere, both teams were working together to try and wipe out the Young Swordsman, he fought relentlessly keeping his eye on Majima who stayed with him to keep away from the water.

Mikazuki and Ren were once again flailing in the water struggling to swim, why were these my team mates?

Ratake swung his mightly fullblade shattering another Genins weapons and in a panic they released smoke bombs to retreat.

Ratake knew that it was impossible to save Ren and Mikazuki so instead tried to instruct Majima to throw him over the Lake, Ratake transformed into a Shuriken and Majima threw him as hard as he could but the Shuriken fell short and Ratake landed in the water next to the opposite shore.

Immediately he made a dash for the 2nd teams flag but just as he was about to grab it some chakra threads pulled it away and the whistle blew.

Maybe the three of us are just worthless Genin, everyone is stronger than us, even the other Genin.

The End of the Academy (pt 2)

Ratake thinking fast made a clone of himself and sprinted around the perimetre of the lake watching Ren and Mikazuki struggle in the water. Before long the trainer plunged his sword into the lake, freezing it solid. Ratake knew that was his window to strike and crossed the frozen lake with his clone and directed the clone to attack, the trainer moved to dodge the cloneand seeing his opportunity Ratake swung into... a log. This move had freed his team mates from the lake and enfuriated the young Ninja, he located the trainer in the tree and moved immediately to break the trainers weapon.

We failed the excercise, and watched the other teams succeed with a masterful level of teamwork. Then we met our sensei...

The End of the Academy

After finishing the Academy Ratake got buddied up with 2 kids from his class, Ren Hiroto and Mikazuki Yamamoto, they agreed to go for barbeque to properly introduce themselves, getting barbeque became a nightly tradition for them. Ren was a happy, sociable young girl who had full control over water, sge was a strong performer and a valuable team mate, Mikazuki however was Ratakes worst nightmare, a class clown with very little skill, after a quick spar, Ren decided she couldnt beat Ratake and Mikazuki stepped up to the challege unable to beat Ratake's ultimate defence and then also giving up.

The leader of training in the village approach the 3 ninja groups and said he wanted us to showcase our talent before assigning our group leaders. Ratake being impatient volunteered his group to go first in order to 'get this over with'. The challenge was to knock the trainer off a small island in the middle of the lake and without a second thought Ren and Mikazuki were swimming to the island...

Was the really the squad he was meant to be paired with?

The Story of Ratake so far

Ratake's parents were killed in front of him at a young age for possessing a Kekkei Genkei allowing them to use ice style techniques, similar to Haku. Ratake managed to hide until the attackers left but he was left with nowhere to go, he went to the nearest village and lived off the streets for a while, stealing and fighting to get by.

One day Ratake stole from someone who was way stronger than him, A Jonin from the Hidden Grass who responded in an unusual way, he got to one knee and told him to enroll in the Ninja Academy and come live with him.

After Ratake graduated the Ninja Academy, he was given his original fathers fullblade and told that his Taijutsu skills were far superior to his Ninjutsu. He spent days and nights training with the Fullblade with his new Father and discovered he also possessed the Kekkei Genkei of his family.
