born and raised in new york, new york; he was the third kid out of four. first was his older sister, meredith, then his twin brother, kyle, him, and finally his younger sister madison. 

his childhood was pretty typical. he was close with all of his siblings but he and kyle were connected at the hip. they did just about everything together: clubs, sports, hobbies, hanging out with friends.

they both got accepted to nyu. kyle was going for criminal justice and kaleb for nursing. it was the first time they really were apart, though. they were in separate dorms, made different friends, and didn’t communicate nearly as much. it was really hard for kaleb, but his brother was thriving so he kept his feelings to himself and carried on.

he had a perfect gpa for his first two years. he studied really hard and did his best to keep good friends. the first and last time he went to a party was one that kyle invited him to. he’d felt severely out of place until the alcohol started flowing.

he wasn’t sure why he let himself and his brother get in the car. they had both drank way too much to even walk back to their dorms. they’d planned on driving home to visit their parents for some reason, but they didn’t get far. kaleb at the wheel, they’d gotten in a horrible accident just off campus that resulted in the death of a couple who were driving home from visiting their terminally ill child at the hospital.

kyle was totally out of it and kaleb panicked and because they looked so alike and they both staggered out of the car in the dark, witnesses hadn’t managed to get a good enough look at them to tell them apart. kaleb knew he’d been the one to crash the car, but when police asked he told them it was kyle. kyle had been too drunk to remember or refute anything.

his brother was put away for vehicular manslaughter and dui for life with a chance at parole after twenty years. kaleb never told him the truth. 

he finished out his degree and did everything in his power to get hired at the pediatric hospital that the couple had been coming from. he loved working with the kids and excelled at his job. he was loved there.

he still keeps in contact with his brother via visits, letters, and phone calls. they’re extremely close despite everything; kaleb feels he at least owes him company.

this trip was something he’d wanted more than he’d admitted. he hadn’t had a vacation since college and he’d always wanted to travel to europe. escaping new york wasn’t such a bad thing either.

- born “neil” and raised brooklyn ny usa - father ditched, mom remarried - was raised to be a perfect little soldier for his step dad - restricted emotionally and socially - told often he only deserved the bare minimum as he was fortunate to have that at the very least - stayed the course, went into basic training and got drafted - it wasn’t for him, but he did it anyway - after 10+ years, as a sergeant, he ditched just like daddy. became a us military deserter - boarded a ship through the black sea from turkey to romania, settled down in prague for three years. two of which were spent mostly hiding. only solace being some company via the internet - eventually got out and slowly found himself through art, physical company and experiencing a new world. a free one - trained and became a local tattoo artist. goes by snow - year later joined a raffle for this thing and here we are!

- he loves people and being part of fun social circles. always down for a chat. drama? he keeps away from, though he starts his fair share every once in awhile. - he’s got a bit of a pervy sense of humor and likes to be pushed around by those who know what’s good for them - doesn’t have a fav tv show or movie since his step dad didn’t allow him to waste time on such things and 10+ years in the military kept him preoccupied. he’s cutely ignorant toward pop culture and needs help playing catch up - yeah, he’ll give you a tattoo, so quit pestering

hey loves!! just rang in the new year so i am just gonna pop in and tell you a bit about my bub luce

( myoui mina / she/her / female ). *:·ﾟ✧ how lucky is luce sato to be chosen to go on this trip! the nineteen year old law student is known for being aimless, but also being defiant. maybe that’s why they are known as the adventurer. they requested to be in a room with one other person. hope nobody finds out that she comes from an extremely wealthy family and is going by a fake name to cover it up.

she was born as sora luciana nakamura, the eldest daughter of one of the wealthiest families in the u.s (top 50 probably)

with her father a tech tycoon and her mother an retired figure skater, their marriage was highly publicized

knowing this, sora was kept away from luxuries and public events for most of her life as her parents feared for her safety otherwise

surrounded by so much success,  pressure from her parents and being a role model for her younger siblings, she spent most of her life working hard at school to achieve everything

she managed to get to a fancy college in pre-law/criminal justice (probably an ivy league but this is up for plotting)

still, though, 6 months into her degree she felt something was missing in her life. since sora spent all her life living it for someone else she doesn’t really have anything she’s passionate about

one day she had a public breakdown on campus and was forced to take academic leave

sofa’s parents didn’t understand and wanted her to return as soon as her condition improved

applying into this trip on a whim under a fake name, luce sato, she eventually got it :0

so she left without a word to her parents

down for anything but also scared? now that she doesn’t have parents, a fancy college or her younger siblings to watch her every move, she feels more free to try new things, but is also afraid of the consequences

but when someone does seem to expect a certain something from her she is RELISHING her freedom so she’ll probably subvert this expectation out of spite

“you can’t do this” she’ll do it; after that day she snapped she really has no self preservation anymore

this girl is an actual ravenclaw, is extremely curious, will ask all the questions

your local overachiever yet still nervous in the spotlight; black belt in taekwondo, 3.9 gpa, student class president etc

fun fact: ‘luce’ is the shortened form of her middle name and she got ‘sato’ from a consensus of surnames

she’s quite young but is quite nurturing to those in her inner circle, fairly blunt to those outside it // luce still doesn't really know how to take care of herself though and it's negatively affecting her mental health. self-care? don't know her.

the main thing for her is that she’s trying to find a passion, so hint hint i see her being into arts of some kind, something visual

she chose criminal justice because she truly is interested in it, but her parents called every now and then to convince her to go the corporate lawyer route because it makes more money // low-key (highkey) a stick it to the man type

at the end of the day, ya girl goes with her gut and what feels right

other than her conscience though, she second guesses everything she does, making choices based on probability, which she’s trying to change

doesn’t want to admit it, but is quite naive in matters of the heart. if she’s already taken to you, she’s easy to take advantage of emotionally

how lucky is harper gall to be chosen to go on this trip! the twenty-one year old yale law student is known for being solicitous, but also being reserved. maybe that’s why they are known as the demure. they requested to be in a room with 1 other person. hope nobody finds out that they were part of an eco-terrorist group responsible for embassy bombings. 

below the cut is all you need to know about my girl harper! also about me, momo! 

BACKGROUND: Harper muir gall was born on April 22, 1996 to Sunshine Peterson (her grandparents were major hippies) and Richard Gall in Seattle Washington. Her mother is a geoscientist at Olympic National Park and her father is Head Park Ranger. For her whole life, Harper grew up around nature and in the Olympic National Park - that’s where her family actually lived - in a beautiful two-story secluded cabin away from any public paths. Due to her living situation, Harper’s one true passion in life became about the environment, and subsequently because of her living situation, she grew up secluded from other people, often finding friends in the books she read and her parents. 

While Harper is shy, she found her footing in the Earth Liberation Front (E.L.F) at a young age - much to the approval of her parents. In 2007, at just 11 year old, she was a part of a mass burning of houses in Washington. The thrill of the flames was unimaginable for her (and now, she’s a bit of a pyromaniac) - and Harper began to take on leadership roles when she made it into her teens. In her late teens, on a “family” trip to Kenya, Harper and her E.L.F compatriots were responsible for bombing the Chinese embassy in Nairobi (for which harper built the explosives) - for using non-green building practices in the country. E.L.F, now considered a terrorist organization internationally, never publicly took credit for the bombing, and it’s now something that sits heavily upon her conscious. 

PERSONALITY: Harper is driven, and most of the time, extremely selfless. She is currently enrolled at Yale law school, hoping to become an environmental lawyer - though her status as a “terrorist” could ruin that forever if it ever came out. Harper is reserved, also. While she’ll tell you she’s not up for adventure - that’s an absolute lie. Harper loves exploring new places, though usually by herself. That’s what she used too. She’s a bit shy, but if people really make an effort to coax her out of her shell, she’ll usually pop right out. Additionally, it’s better if you ease Harper into things, she likes to know everything that’s going on and have a full understanding of her surroundings. 

Harper has also never dated anyone - she hasn’t really had the opportunity. There were a few of her fellow E.L.F members that she was flirtatious with, but outside of that, it’s really just been her and her parents, which she doesn’t mind. 

Despite being shy and a bit sensitive, Harper won’t hesitate to put someone in their place if they’re not respecting her or someone else. She’s a staunch social justice warrior, and won’t stand for any type of unfairness. 

POSSIBLE CONNECTIONS: a person she’s flirty with and has a crush on, an absolute best friend (she’s never had one other than her parents), the frenemy, her roommate, someone who thinks she looks familiar (they’ve seen her blurry face in a picture on a wanted list or something), a fellow book nerd whom she can bond with, or anything else you can think of!

20. born in italy. grew up in new york. only child. very very soft. enjoys poetry and songwriting. has never been on her own before. DID I MENTION SOFT? she loves people, and always looks for the best in them. her parents are wealthy, so she comes from old money and is used to buying whatever she wants, whenever she wants. she’s very naive and trusts everyone.

in high school, she was the popular girl. but she was always one of those girls that was nice to everyone if it was just her and the other person, but if they weren’t considered ‘cool’, she wouldn’t interact with them at school around her ‘friends’.

had a boy she crushed on and eventually dated, but it was a secret all through her junior year of high school, but since he wasn’t ‘cool’, she never went anywhere with him and he eventually ended things because she chose her popularity instead of him (possible connection!)

she’s changed now since she’s in a new place. she’s a great friend and has really matured since high school, but she still has her moments when her rich girl comes out. she has no understanding of money and a couple hundred dollars is probably just pocket change to her. BUT YEAH

she’s a real sweetheart and does like to drink her fruity mixed drinks and enjoy life. LOVES THE BEACH more than anything.

her secret is that she bought a SHIT TON of followers on instagram to help her grow her following. she now has about 2.5 million followers thanks to buying her first couple hundred thousand. sponsored posts are really her only source of income besides her parents credit cards.

SHE LOVES TO WRITE, but literally no one knows that either. she plays piano and sings the songs that she writes, and posts her poetry online anonymously. she is crazy about it and probably writes a new poem each day? at least? likeeee, especially after being on the trip and she has so much inspiration from everything. also the odds of her writing a poem about your character after they interact is HIGHLY likely. so another connection possibly?
