what did your family do to you that warranted an escape?
“huh, that’s…straight to the point. my parents want me to take over the family business. i’ve been told to do this, do that, lose weight, get a proper degree, whatever. like, i hate the idea of being a lawyer, but i’d rather do that than business or computer science. they always pushed me to pursue something i hated and prioritize image. when the breakdown happened on campus, so publicly, and they cared more about the media finding out than helping me get better, i knew i had to go. yeah, i know it’s a bad idea, running off after a bout of mental instability, but i feel a lot better now. i have freedom to do whatever i fucking want, and it feels great.”

( myoui mina / she/her / female ). *:·ﾟ✧ how lucky is luce sato to be chosen to go on this trip! the nineteen year old law student is known for being aimless, but also being defiant. maybe that’s why they are known as the adventurer. they requested to be in a room with one other person. hope nobody finds out that she comes from an extremely wealthy family and is going by a fake name to cover it up.
she was born as sora luciana nakamura, the eldest daughter of one of the wealthiest families in the u.s (top 50 probably)
with her father a tech tycoon and her mother an retired figure skater, their marriage was highly publicized
knowing this, sora was kept away from luxuries and public events for most of her life as her parents feared for her safety otherwise
surrounded by so much success, pressure from her parents and being a role model for her younger siblings, she spent most of her life working hard at school to achieve everything
she managed to get to a fancy college in pre-law/criminal justice (probably an ivy league but this is up for plotting)
still, though, 6 months into her degree she felt something was missing in her life. since sora spent all her life living it for someone else she doesn’t really have anything she’s passionate about
one day she had a public breakdown on campus and was forced to take academic leave
sofa’s parents didn’t understand and wanted her to return as soon as her condition improved
applying into this trip on a whim under a fake name, luce sato, she eventually got it :0
so she left without a word to her parents
now…

down for anything but also scared? now that she doesn’t have parents, a fancy college or her younger siblings to watch her every move, she feels more free to try new things, but is also afraid of the consequences
but when someone does seem to expect a certain something from her she is RELISHING her freedom so she’ll probably subvert this expectation out of spite
“you can’t do this” she’ll do it; after that day she snapped she really has no self preservation anymore
this girl is an actual ravenclaw, is extremely curious, will ask all the questions
your local overachiever yet still nervous in the spotlight; black belt in taekwondo, 3.9 gpa, student class president etc
fun fact: ‘luce’ is the shortened form of her middle name and she got ‘sato’ from a consensus of surnames
she’s quite young but is quite nurturing to those in her inner circle, fairly blunt to those outside it // luce still doesn't really know how to take care of herself though and it's negatively affecting her mental health. self-care? don't know her.
the main thing for her is that she’s trying to find a passion, so hint hint i see her being into arts of some kind, something visual
probably will beat you in trivia
she chose criminal justice because she truly is interested in it, but her parents called every now and then to convince her to go the corporate lawyer route because it makes more money // low-key (highkey) a stick it to the man type
at the end of the day, ya girl goes with her gut and what feels right
other than her conscience though, she second guesses everything she does, making choices based on probability, which she’s trying to change
doesn’t want to admit it, but is quite naive in matters of the heart. if she’s already taken to you, she’s easy to take advantage of emotionally
tries to dress low-key, but sometimes a prada backpack or swarovski necklace will give her away
