Dine and Ditch || Cara & Eugene aka Lani & Liam

This date had been kind of spur of the moment. And at the time, Eugene hadn't figured that he would be struggling now to come up with funds for it. But it seemed like every time he stepped near a house he had Graham on his ass. He hadn't even been able to really find food to eat for the week. But he figured he could figure this out. Because this girl had actually taken the time to help him out and he did owe her. Just hopefully he could get out of the payment, and maybe go back later and pay when he could scrounge it up. 

He dragged his ass to the bar, so he could walk there with her. He did still have a slight black eye from his altercation the other day, but it wasn't bad. He stood outside leaning against the bricks of the building while he waited. This was his last pack of cigarettes, and he wasn't sure if he was going to be able to get another any time soon. So he had been smoking then incredibly slow. But at this point, he wasn't sure why but he was a bit nervous about tonight ending badly. When he saw the dark hair coming out of the bar, he pushed off and walked her way. "Sup Sunshine? You miss me?" He asked taking the cigarette between his fingers and blowing out a puff away from her.

A Drink || Cara & Jacob

It wasn't often that Jacob found his way into The Rabbit Hole. Maybe once a week at most, typically when grim had happened at the hospital. He only remained within its walls long enough for a couple of drinks and to get lost within the sounds of clinking glasses and billiards intermingled with the occasional too loud voice. As he stepped through the door a small smile graced his lips at the now familiar sounds that overcame him, replacing the deadly silence of the hospital that could so often be grating while having a bad day. Not that today had particularly been bad, in fact it would be considered a good day compared to most. Yet that one moment refused to wane from the forefront of his mind as he'd made his rounds.

If ever there could be a way to explain a bad first impression, Jacob was certain that using today as an example would explain it all too clearly. Though he'd only intended to be friendly and give the new intern a helpful piece of advice, it had turned sour before he could manage to repair the damage. Surely it would make for a rather awkward time for the two of them when they shared shifts in the future, but for right now, Jacob wanted to push it to the back of his mind with a healthy dose of scotch. Making his way to the bar, he nabbed his usual seat in the corner where he could overlook all of the room as he nursed his drink for the evening.
