#repost FOLLOW @richwilkersonjr We may think we know what is right, but the LORD is the judge of our motives.- Prov.16:2 #youcanthide But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”- 1Sam16:7 #canthide Jesus doesn’t draw the line for sin at our actions. He draws them at the heart. In other words, you can commit bloodless murder. You can have sexual adultery. God declares that the heart is the birth place of all sin. Men, this means your sexual thoughts about that young lady, have huge implications. Ladies, this means your hurtful thinking toward another sister can condemn you. Many of us can restrain ourselves from sinful behavior as long as we can indulge in a little mental disobedience. However, God’s desire is to eradicate all sin from our lives, not just in our public walk but in our private thoughts, too. Spiritual maturity requires us to constantly examine ourselves for sin. It requires us to realize that even a little unrepented sin deserves hell. Grace is a gift offered only to the person willing to turn from evil. Forgiveness is available for those who allow Jesus to be Lord. We can easily become comfortable with a little heart sin. But let this be a reminder that while you can hide your heart from people, you cannot hide it from God. #hiddenmotive For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!- Matt6:21-23 #whateverfillsspills Jesus said, “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”- Matt15:17-20 (at Mount Juliet, Tennessee) https://www.instagram.com/p/ByLLFzUF4BQ/?igshid=1n4dl9eea24az
