tell us everything there is to know about about kit and her relationship with the girls (and not just bc of the crossover temptation i’m having rn 🙈) pls and thank you —[hiddenqveendom]

ohohohoh ok this will be long so i'm sorry in advance, but here's everything i have so far on Kit and her favorite girls;

it takes Kit a while to warm up to any of the girls just because of who she is as a person, but that's not to say that she doesn't love all of them with her whole heart by the time they're saved

Kit's best friend on the island is probably Fatin. she's the one Kit spends the most time with and the one she has the least arguments with, and on top of that Kit confides in Fatin about a lot of things. she doesn't like talking about herself or anything related to her life before the island, but Fatin is the first person she opens up to about the reason she even went on the retreat to begin with.

Kit and Leah are pretty hot and cold—when Kit is having a good day Leah's insanity only makes her laugh, but when she's going through it Leah can really bring out the worst in her. deep down Kit really loves Leah though, and it's very much a "I can call her crazy but if someone else does that I'm going to murder them" kind of deal.

I go back on forth on whether or not Toni and Kit would be close, but I do know that they would bond over being jocks. Toni mostly likes Kit because of how deeply Kit cares about Martha, and the two of them respect each other a lot. the first—but certainly not last—fight Kit has on the island is with Shelby over being homophobic towards Toni, and while Toni is all "I can fight my own battles" deep down she does appreciate it.

speaking of Shelby, she's the one Kit takes the longest to warm up to, and it isn't after Toni and Shelby get together that Kit actually starts considering her as a potential friend. she can't stand people who act fake and, let's be real, that's all Shelby does at the start of the show.

Nora and Rachel are the two relationships I've thought of the least, since their storylines are mostly about each other. I know Kit would get along well with Nora, and she's probably one of the first girls she actually get along with. her dry humor would work really well on Kit, and she'd be one of the first to understand that Kit is having night terrors. Kit and Rachel would only really get close after losing Nora, mainly bc i headcanon that Rachel also has really bad nightmares as a result of the shark attack, so the two of them end up spending a lot of sleepless nights together. Rachel tells Kit all about Nora and sometimes they just silently cry together.

the most functional duo by far is Dot and Kit, these bitches get shit done around the island. Kit hates sitting still and will always be the first one to offer to help Dot out. she's also not one to dick around so anything she puts her mind will get done within the hour. Dot absolutely loves her for it and more than once calls Kit her favorite student because—while Kit loves to help—she isn't all that handy at the start of the show. but she's willing to learn, and that counts for something.

last but certainly not least, Kit would fucking die for Martha, without hesitation. Martha is such a sweet and gentle girl and, while Kit will act all big most of the time, that's exactly the kind of friend she's always desperately needed. whenever Kit begins to spiral Martha will distract her with a fun story and she's more than once sung Kit to sleep if she was having a particularly bad night. I'm not sure what's going to happen in s3 obviously but you can bet your ass that if anyone tries to hurt Martha Kit will rip them to fucking shreds.
