On the bus ride from Queenstown to Te Anau, our wonderful driver insisted we try “the best cheese roll in Southland”. It was basically a fancy grilled cheese sandwich: cheesy gooey goodness rolled up with cracked black pepper, some soft herb maybe, a hint of mustard, and... corn(?!).
