The images had certainly been shocking, but for Hachisuka, he had barely batted an eye at the whole scene in the video that had been shared with the city. Violence was in his very nature, as it was for all of the swords; something like this was simply an action he was used to, and had done himself on a battlefield far away from the streets of the Hive. To him, as sickening as it might have seemed to some, that was simply his intended purpose: to kill.
What didn’t sit well with him, however, were the principles behind it. This figure intended to cause a war with humanity on one side and everything else on the other. While war he was something he was prepared for, this was something he couldn’t abide. His master stood at the brink of far too much risk to stand idly by about it. He quietly hoped it was something that would never darken their doorstep, but it wouldn’t hurt to be prepared for the worst.
Even if preparing meant dealing with things better left to fester in the dark.
“Higekiri.”
“I would imagine you saw that footage that was released. Answer me this: will you or will you not stand in defense of the Citadel should things turn for the worst.”
