POEE9 August 7, 2015 7:44 AM Nerd Talk I absolutely love superhero movies, and one big producer of this genre is Marvel. The movie that kicked off the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise is the 2008 film, Iron Man. Ever since then, fan or not, people have been going to the cinema to watch their latest film. But Marvel's rival, DC Comics, isn't going to back down, and has finally come out of the shadows since their last film, The Dark Knight Rises in 2012. They have announced Batman v Superman which will premiere in 2016, and they're also releasing Aquaman, The Flash, and Justice League in the near future. They currently have 11 movies in development. The movie I'm most excited for is Suicide Squad. I'm a big fan of The Joker, and he's my favorite villain. The release of the trailer got comic fans buzzing, but Marvel has something up their sleeves. One fan favorite comic character is Deadpool. Marvel has recently released a trailer for it's 2016 movie just 3 days ago. With all these releases, it really is stirring heat in the comic fandom. I don't want to take sides between the two massive companies because I'm just here to eat popcorn and have a good time, but there's one thing for sure, 2016 is going to be a cinematically great year. Unfortunate Events & Bothersome Classmates

POEE9 August 6, 2015 7:48 AM It's only been 2 months since the first day of school, but I've already attracted some kind of bad luck. I've managed to lose 2 of my recitation cards, Social Studies and Math. I constantly forget to get my bible from the locker, leading my CL teacher to get irritated at me. I've also forgotten to let my ICT teacher sign the attendance sheet 3 times in a row. I am made up of two traits, both of which should not be together, irresponsible and forgetful. I have no idea why I'm like this, but I try to cope. My classmates tend to gravitate towards me when they're choosing leaders, but that's a bad idea. They also come to me when they're asking questions like, "Which homeworks are due tomorrow?" or "How many tests do we have this week?" which gets on my nerves most of the time. I'm not a gosh darn calendar, plus, the ones asking these questions weren't even absent which gives them no excuse to not know any of these things. All I want right now is to just sit on my bed with a cup of Milo and scroll through my phone. Higera

The People Around Us

Everyday, I pass the same streets going to school. It’s the same buildings and places. But I always see new people. I look at the window of my car to kill time, just like any other person. With earbuds shoved into my ears, I observe the people passing by. I once saw a child on the sidewalk, doing the nae nae. I think him and his friends were having a dance battle from what I observed. This morning, a motorcyclist knocked on our car window, seeming angry. He raised his visor, revealing red, irritated eyes. I locked the door immediately, incase he got ideas. He started shouting at my driver but I didn’t really understand what the argument was about. Luckily, my driver kept calm and the motorcyclist drove away. Near the U-turn going to Miriam, I saw a black car with its driver’s window down. Sat there was a young woman with cheeks full of blush. Her hand was hanging outside the frame with a cigarette in between her fingers. In the passenger seat was maybe her boyfriend, wearing sunglasses. They seemed happy.
