High in da woods
Deep in the forbidden jungles of Massachusetts, Piper and Cait were chased up a tree by radscorpions.
Live by the sword - Chapter 38
After actual YEARS, one of my main fics is now DONE: An ending, for live by the sword, my pulpy, conan-esque universe. Thank you to everyone who has read it and stuck with it through the years! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24679915/chapters/169320883
Manually (cause I'm picky about pixel art generators) made a 90x90 pixel art version of High Adventure to serve as a blueprint for drawing it on Wplace (therefore also the limited palette)!! I am not telling you where I'm making it because it's secret.... (It takes maybe two seconds of research to guess where)
A great "book trailer" video I had made for my book, Dark Device of the Great Chasm ( which is over here for purchase! ) and I just LOVE how it turned out!
With that comes an updated summary!
Lost secrets, ruthless rivals, and a relic that could unmake the world... Explorer and Windtracer Tela Kioni thought she was chasing old myths. Then a long-lost journal revealed the path to a forgotten relic of the Ancient Order. One buried deep in the nightmare depths of the Great Chasm. But she’s not the only one on the trail. A brutal mercenary guild called the Crimson Company will stop at nothing to seize the artifact for their enigmatic backer. A mysterious man obsessed with reviving the Ancient Order’s darkest legacy. The deeper Tela goes, the more she realizes the relic may be far more dangerous than anyone guessed. Because the true cost of the past? It’s sometimes paid in blood.
April 22 – Froth, Fear, and Falling a Little Deeper
We did it. We actually did it. The river was wild today—white froth crashing around us like we were paddling through a storm made of champagne. My arms are jelly, my heart’s still pounding, and I’ve never laughed so hard while being slightly terrified.
Chase took the lead—focused, calm, completely in his element. And every time I thought we were about to tip, he’d flash me that grin and somehow steer us through. I kept thinking: I trust him. I really, really do.
After, we pulled the raft up onto the rocks, still dripping and still buzzing, he sat beside me, leaned his head against mine, and the world got soft. The river still roared, but we were quiet.
I don't know if it was the adrenaline, or the way the light hit his smile, but I think I fell a little more in love with him today.
TIG movie night this weekend?
@virgo-mess pointed out that Sea Wolf and High Adventure are both directed by the same person, so that's my pick for a double-feature. I haven't watched High Adventure yet, and only watched Sea Wolf once (and was like "...what?") so it'll be fun to watch something for the first time with y'all!
I was thinking of starting around 4pm (PST) again since that seemed to work out for more of you, but y'all pick the day!
(Maybe Vampires can be the third movie we watch, so those of you that can't stand it can leave if you want lmao)
When works best for you?
