A complete Ezyflow™ water sampling pump system is available for purchase. We have all types of water sampling equipment.A basic system has a foot valve and tubing of the proper size. Pumping actuators, surge blockers, and other accessories are also available.
Operation of an Inertial Pump at a Basic Level
Foot valves from ERE inc. can be used for traditional sampling and are operated in the usual way. A foot valve is connected to a length of tubing to make the pump. To use this pump, follow these steps:
The tubing/valve assembly is in place. The water level in the tubing rises to the same level as in the well.
A quick upstroke closes the foot valve and raises the water column inside the tubing by the stroke length.
Due to its momentum, the water column continues to rise after the end of the upstroke. As a result, a second column of water is sucked into the tube at the same time.
Due to the inertia of the water column, pushing the tubing down immediately after the upstroke forces a new column of water into the tube.
Water rises in pulses to discharge at the surface when the cycle repeats.
