A Sukhoi SU-27 deploys flares and simultaneously produces fog through expansion cooling due to high positive g-force maneuver (maximum permitted g-force of a SU-27 is +9 g).

When the jet is forcibly pulled up, the air at his bottom is heated by compression, on the back it is cooled by expension, which make the moisture condense. The hot exhaust gases from the afterburner turns the fume orange.
