I got my blood test results back and my TSH is over 10. 😐 I guess that explains not being able to form sentences the other day. But you know what? I filmed today for 12 hours and managed to get through the day like an absolute champ. So congrats to me, now gotta go fix that TSH.

Got a phone call from the maternity clinic, and the nurse said my recent standing order of blood work came back with high TSH... I have had hypothyroidism for about 15 years now, and has always been well controlled with medication. 

I have to go in again December 6th and get it checked again... Which is fine, I get blood work taken for that reason every 3 weeks anyways but. I can’t help but worry. The nurse, ever as usual, was calm, kind and encouraging saying everything was fine they just want to check. It was “Only a smidge high!” 

But, me, as usual: 😕 😥 🤔 😓

TSH Levels: Update

I had blood work last week to check where my TSH levels are at. A month ago they were slightly elevated (2.69) and so my midwives wanted to wait a little bit to retest me. I just called my midwife to see if they have the numbers for the test. She told me that my TSH levels are at a 2 (normal range for pregnancy is under 2.5). I am SO relieved! I made the mistake of googling the side affects to elevated TSH levels during pregnancy when I first found out about my elevated levels, and it yielded scary results.

TSH at 2.69

I had blood work drawn last week, and I got a call from my midwife today. Apparently my TSH/thyroid levels are high. They’re still within the normal range, if you aren’t pregnant, but they’re a bit too high if you are pregnant. Now I’m being referred to a specialist for further testing. And I made the mistake of googling side affects of high TSH levels. Now I’m a wreck and feeling like I’m failing my baby, but there’s next to nothing that I can do to fix it until I see a specialist.

Has anyone else experienced high TSH while pregnant? Was there anything that you did or had to do?

Stuff..

A short blog, before I get to sleep tonight. I've been sick (kidney infection that was resistant to the antibiotic and a cold of some sort on top of it) - but, after starting different antibiotics and all, i'm starting to feel a bit better. Finallyyyy. Now, that leaves me with catching up on unpacking (yeah....still have a lot of that to do!), catching up with friends, on FB/Twitter, and everything else i've fallen behind on. 

But, during a CT, they found something that explains some of my issues, like my horribly swollen tummy. Well, part of that is the muscle separation and hernias.. But, it's something else that causes swelling. So, I need to go to UVA or Winston Salem NC (i'd rather go to the one in Winston Salem) - to find out exactly what is going on, make sure i'm ok.. I'm sure I am though. Also got a call about my thyroid test... Even ON my meds, my TSH was 63.3!! IF you know anything about TSH and thyroid issues, you know that is crazy high when someone is on meds for it. I'm on 200 Mcg Levothyroxine. So....that's crazy.

And, the repeated Bronchitis.... I think I have that figured out, too. I have a little mold in my car, from a leak in the weather stripping of the convertible top. Mold is evillllllll. Seriously, I have like NO tolerance for it. It makes me asthma and allergies go crazy. 

So..... After dealing with all this BS with bronchitis and everything else, I think I finally have it figured out. lol Yay, can I be normal again? lol

Soooo sleepy. Gonna go for now, will catch up soon. <3
