hi there! I am about to re-read The Witcher series, starting with The Last Wish. needed something chill that I’ve read before. and it’s my favourite so.

Teammates forced to watch Whumpee get brutally tortured - afterwards, they're the ones struggling with the trauma of it all while Whumpee, used to it, just shrugs it off and goes on with their life. Somehow this does not help the rest of the team do the same.

#i am writing a thing where whumpee gets so badly messed up but because they grew up not being allowed any bodily autonomy and being taught #their only worth is as the one who takes the punches for the more fragile ones #and they've put themselves through horrendous situations ever since trying to protect others ie justifying their existence #they are really good at taking it all and stuffing it deep down where the horrors have no oxygen to scream #but their teammates are unaware of all this and also grew up somewhat more privileged #so they're in the trenches dealing with the trauma of it now #and it's so much fun watching everyone dealing with their PTSD while whumpee themself is just chilling and eating sushi #highly recommend btw #torture

yesterday was so awful and today's shift is likely going to be difficult as well as a result. but i'm so close to being done and i AM going to stay true to my SELF. and we demolished my wardrobe to replace it with hanging rails today. so all my clothes are in my line of sight and colour co-ordinated so i never feel lost trying to dress myself appropriately for work
