If my memory serves me well, someone is a year older today.

Your memory does serve you well. Another year that feels like ten : too many experiences and encounters. We can say today it’s a good day to celebrate all of that. And hey, the last birthday we celebrated together were years ago oh my, just how much things changed since then hah? I’m both glad you returned and remembered my birthday Karen, thank you very much.

I suddenly heard that you were around and decided to pop by. I guess it certainly is easier to talk to someone at eye level. I thought you were taller when I last saw you. Did you get shorter?

You did well. It’s a meeting of reminiscence, you know how I am nostalgic about the past. Am I the only one you came to meet? I haven’t seen the others in years as well, though, you might have heard why. Hah, perhaps we both did, exhausting daily lives might have this effect. Still teaching in high school?
