at least you're acknowledging Ellie's feelings for Riley?? You're not saying "Oh Ellie was just bicurious" you're actually?? saying "hey i know that Ellie had romantic feelings for Riley, i just don't really ship it" which isn't a bad thing??

Truth is, we just don't really know. Neil confirmed it as canon in the IGN spoilercast that yes, romance was the direction they were aiming for.The damn thing won't load all the way so I might be eating my words but hell, maybe Ellie is bicurious, maybe she isn't, but the kiss was the kiss and I'm not gonna deny or "justify" it because it doesn't need justifying. If it's also true that Ellie can infect people (which I believe he also confirmed) in the end it wouldn't have mattered all that much. But no, I'm not gonna deny it or label it as something it's not. That'd be terribly unfair to Naughty Dog and the characters. I still love Ellie just as much as I did while playing the main storyline. It was a bit of a surprise, yes, but it didn't change my opinion on Ellie.

TRAPPED IN A BUILDING TOGETHER, AFTER AN EARTHQUAKE.

—— “Fifty caps on bl— HOLY SHIT.” Jensen’s handful of caps went flying in every which direction — as did essentially everyone and everything in the small casino. The tremor was strong, stronger than anything he’d ever felt. The lights flickered, screams could be heard, and then a loud crash, and everything went dark… Silent. Dust rose from the rubble, the ceiling had collapsed down on the group of people gambling away their hard earned caps. “Shit…” he coughed, dusting himself off and looking around, thanking his lucky stars that he was just out of the way of all that. There was blood everywhere, body parts strung along the rafters. No one could have survived that. “I’ll take that as a sign to stop gambling.” he said to himself, not trying to make light of the situation, just… Being the moron he was. “Not that I’ll stop but…” he wasn’t talking to anyone but himself. It wasn’t the right thing to do, it wasn’t savory, and he was getting a load of negative karma points with this, but Jensen made his way around the casino, picking the tills and the machines dry, taking all the caps his little hands could find. It’s not like the dead would be using them. He didn’t exactly have a lot of pity for the people, it wasn’t like they were good folks — mostly users, thieves, liars and cheats. Of course he was a thief, a liar and a cheat but at least he was… mostly good? A sound nearly force the boy to jump out of his skin, his hands quickly stuffed the caps into his cargo pant pockets while he made his way into the back room, wondering if maybe someone other than himself had avoided that crash. “Hello?” he called out, flipping the light of his Pip Boy on. The place was a wreck — the place had been a wreck before, but it was worse now. "Come on, ain’t gunna hurt ya." he said, trying to reassure the stranger, wherever they were. "Gonna wanna get out of here before the whole place comes down on us." he could hear the foundation cracking by the moment, and he was about ready to find some hole in the wall to crawl through and get as far from the scene as his feet would carry him. The pangs of guilt wouldn’t let his feet do much of anything but force him deeper into the darkness, his eyes looking for any sign of life — maybe it wasn’t a person, maybe it was just some rat, or something falling or — was that a hand? "Hey, you alright?" Jensen hobbled over, trying to avoid stepping on any… parts. "Come on." he offered a hand down to the stranger, wondering what kinds of injuries they might have. He didn’t want to yank them up to their feet if their legs weren’t going to be following. He couldn’t see much, the light was dim and his vision was currently poor at best. "Lemme help ya outta here." he offered again, trying to keep weight off his left knee which was giving him a bit of trouble. The young woman seemed slightly unresponsive (he assumed it was shock), but he wasn’t just going to leave her there to rot. Despite how much trouble it would end up being.It was a damn maze in the building, and carrying her along with his own pack full of crap was extremely difficult, but eventually the young man managed to find them a way out. It wasn’t easy, it wasn’t pretty, and it wasn’t comfortable, but they wound up outside, away from the tumbling casino. "Shit." he said, laying back, watching pieces fall from the walls. "You alright, kid?" JD asked, not really concerned about the answer. He got her out, that was his good deed for the day.
