What happens to the humans caught by exterminators like sophodora? (exterminated I assume, but in what way? and do they use them for anything?) what's in the pack sophodora was carrying?

Sophodra has a firm no-kill policy for gubs she catches (not counting letting the chickens get eaten by natural predators, which is helping maintain the ecosystem). Instead, they're either released where they won't bother anyone--or, in the case of humans and some others, added to her extensive collection of wall terrariums.

How did you come up with your charachters names? =3

It's funny because I could swear I answered an ask specifically about Ruyak's name at some point, but now I can't find it. Weh. Oh well.

Sometimes when I'm trying to think of a new word, I'll type out a sentence and remove all the spaces, then select groups of letters from what's left to make words out of. I'm pretty sure that's how I got Ruyak's name, as well as several other characters and words early on.

Kaelin was just a name I always liked. At some point I tried to change her name to "Katerina" to match the setting better (I almost always give Gribi Kellabornians eastern European names), but it didn't stick. She was and will forever be "Kaelin" to me.

For human characters I use Behind The Name to give me ideas for first and last names. For a fantasy setting, it'd be easy to do made-up names for everyone, but I prefer having a grounding in reality here with the humans, especially since the setting is inspired by eastern Europe and Russia.

As for Kanai characters, years ago when I started making the Dakatora language I figured out what phonetics I wanted and used Awkwords to generate words with those phonetics as a basis for names and words. Kanai names all have meanings, and I'll get to that in the books too. Kanai aren't named until they're at least a year old, so their names reflect the circumstances of their early childhoods.

Dear archivist. I find great joy in your blog, I enjoy learning about and watching these things come to you. Thank you for your time and efforts! Inside this box is a beautiful blue spool of thick ribbon that, when unspooled , shows the life of one cursed with immortality - from beginning to present. Childhood fear: One time Ihad a nightmare about a solid brown easter themed bunny statue and the next day my aunt brought one over to our house that looked EXACTLY like the one in my dream, broken in the same place, too. And, well. That truly never left me. Kid me freaked out and couldn't sleep for DAYS until my folks finally understood I just REALLY didn't like this cute statue. And to this day I remain wary of em. I'm watching, you little bastards....

Childhood fear 2) Used to be afraid of the sagging, water damaged cieling tile in the corner of my first grade class bc I was convinced it was sagging from the weight of a child-eating troll getting fat off the classmates that had gone missing. (Really the kids had just gotten sick for a few days, or moved...but kid me thought the cieling troll came down and ate them during recess)

oh what the fuck re: the statue lmao. I never found the Easter Bunny cute as a kid. the idea of a massive rabbit just waltzing into my house kind of freaked me out, and one time when I was 6 or 7 I woke up because somebody had moved the blankets and I rolled over and looming over me, silhouetted against the rest of the room, was a massive bunny. I can still remember the raggedy ears and the glint on its teeth. I still have no idea what could have caused this -- I was definitely awake, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t even Easter, but like. who knows. don’t like to think too much about that one.

as for the ceiling troll that one is just classic kid logic, I love it. you should have definitely feared the sagging tile even without the troll, though -- we had one like that in one of my high school classrooms, and one day just before class the entire roof collapsed 😂

basically, multiple fandoms forcibly all collide thanks to the main villain, god of all bad writing tropes, the Mary Sue. and the main cast are all magical girls too, you know, for shits and giggles.
