Its Hijab week
So its hijab week at my school and for the spirit I’m going to try and wear the hijab all day tmrw in class. The sad part is I’m a little afraid. It really is sad when your afraid to practice something you believe in when other people give you the nastiest looks. I remember when I first wore the hijab in a public area, I got a lot of people looking at me disgustingly. They looked at me with hate but it doesn’t make any sense. Just because I choose to wear it doesn’t make me any different from them. I don’t see them giving these looks to nuns. its the same concept except one is associated with a group that doesn’t represent the the meaning of the religion. I guess I just wish people were more open minded and would accept others with out judgments. The world would be a more peaceful place.l
