Hikari had always known she was a little different growing up. When she tried to describe the faint buzzing sensation she sometimes got at the edges of her senses to the other kids they didn't get it. The more she tried to explain it the less they seemed to understand. Eventually she stopped trying. But it only got stronger the older she got, and she started to notice how it would fluctuate depending on where she was or who she was with. But still she didn't know what caused it.
When she got into high school strange things started happening and the sensation grew stronger than she'd ever known it to be when they did. This proved useful because it often served as a warning to get out of an area before something dangerous happened. But sometimes it also led her to see things. Things no one else knew she'd been present for. Things that sometimes she wondered if anyone else could see. She kept this to herself, but often she wondered if she should tell her friends. As deeply involved in the strange phenomenon that occured in the city as some of them seemed to be she was sure they'd at least believe her, even if they didn't understand themselves. But still, she wasn't sure...
