How do we cultivate a choreographic practice? What conditions are required to sustain the work? What does each dancer bring to rehearsal and what are the ways we keep deepening our practice? In her new series Under the influence: dancer to dancer conversations, Hilary Clark invites dancers to rehearse with her in the studio of collective address. These sessions focus on rehearsal as process asking how each artist defines practice through language, movement, improvisation, dialogue, and the significance of silence. Invited artists include: Kayvon Pourazar, Michelle Boulé, Addys Gonzalez, Aretha Aoki, Molly Lieber and Omagbitse Omagbemi culminating in talks with Chrysa Parkinson.
In parallel to these rehearsals, Clark will also continue to research and develop her new work Duet for/with/including Jen # 4.
