Free time meant down time. Down time meant fun time and although fun time usually consisted of going out with his friends, today, he was on his own.

It had been a tough week for classes and he’d actually done pretty well in terms of being proactive about getting some much needed help in the subjects he’d been struggling with. So, what better way to celebrate than with a little shopping spree.

He’d tried to get his friends to join him, but Mina had promised the girls she’d spend time with them this weekend, Sero was visiting family, Kirishima was hanging out with his internship buddies, and Bakugou was pretty tired of the energetic blond by the end of their tutoring sessions so he figured it was better that he not try and drag the explosive guy out to the mall.

Oh well... This was fine too... It wasn’t as fun, though.

With a sigh, Kaminari lowered his gaze and in that split moment of inattentiveness, he managed to bump into someone.

“Oh, shoot... uh, sorry about that. Guess I should look where I’m going.” he apologized as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

Life had a way of easily crushing the weak, taking their hopes and dreams from them and showing them just how useless they were. One would think even the greatest of heros would have given young ones the hopeful words that no matter what, they too could achieve their hard work.

How wrong people were.

No. The world was cruel, people were wicked, and hope was a figment of their imagination.

After that day All Might had saved him and told him to give up on his dreams, despair had been the only thing Midoriya had known. All he had wanted was the words of hope he hadn’t received from his mother at a young fragile age to come from the man he admired more than anyone else but it never came. Even after he had acted on instinct to save his friend he had received nothing but reprimand about how dangerous his act had been and how he could have not only killed himself, but killed Kacchan. His classmates mocked him more and more after that day and something snapped in him.

One thing lead to another, and after a faithful meeting, Midoriya had found a new and better calling. Instead of entering UA in general studies, he had found himself attending a secret villain academy hidden underground.

Yes, he still had no quirk, but he was smart, he knew the weaknesses of every pro hero, he could read other quirks easily and figure counter measures and someone had taken a strong liking to that in him. They had promised to train him in everything else, to make him strong without a quirk and to help supply him with all he needed to show the number one hero that he had made a mistake.

He didn’t know what to expect from this school, didn’t know what kind of people there would be, but if they tried anything he would fight back. He wasn’t going to let middle school repeat itself, he was going to be the Bakugou of his class and make sure everyone feared him. Yet despite that, plan, one person continued to follow him around no matter how much he threatened her.
