The “Little Tokyo” section in Codes Ward was the perfect location for a Japan obsessed girl like her. The Food-Area was already very interesting on it’s own, but there were also many different shops around! That’s when the long blonde haired girl suddenly got the idea: She could look for some J-Dramas DVDs, if she’d look around closer. That would certainly be the best way to get by these cold and boring winter days! As soon as she found a store that selled electronics, movies and games, the princess of course moved right to the movie shelves. After browsing through them for a while, she found some maybe interesting murder mysteries, but not even one of her most beloved genre. What a shame. But that was when she noticed that a girl, about her age and right next to her, also browsed the same shelf already for a while tooo.  

“Excuse me, did you find by chance any J-Dramas around here? I would love to get some for myself over he holidays, but it seems like none can be found around here... What a pity. Perhaps you look for something special as well?”

"Happy birthday, Kanji-kun." With that, she handed him a wrapped present with a red bow on top. Inside, Yukiko had found a craft book in a nearby store that she thought might be of interest to him. At least, her mind drifted to him when she saw it. Additionally, she gave him a see-through bag with cookies inside. "As much as I *want* to say I baked these, I'm still.. working on my skills. Regardless of that, I hope you enjoy."

         “Yukiko-senpai!” While definitely surprised by the gesture, he takes it all the same. A gift from senpai... He’ll treasure this forever. Just the thought of Yukiko thinking about him made his heart race, his cheeks flushing red. It wasn’t a bad thought! Honestly! Suddenly bashful, he couldn’t look her in the eye. “T-Thank you. A lot.” 

        Lifting the bag of cookies, he nods approvingly. It was actually a relief that she didn’t bake those... He’d be a lot more reluctant to accept them...

         “I’ll enjoy these just for you! Ain’t as good as you makin’ them but it’s the thought that counts! Thanks again, Yukiko-senpai!”

It felt somewhat strange seeing another wear a school uniform on this island. Sayo has learned that enough people wandering here attended academies previously, but chose to discard the attire. Then there were those that still wore uniforms, though Sayo was unable to identify them. So, seeing a girl wear the outfit was a bit unexpected. 

“Were you committed to your studies?” She said, attempting to not frighten the other. It was just a general question that she wished to know the answer of.
