I'm sure you have a plan but what I've found works best is to have them turned out in paddocks next to each other, to acclimate them to each other and turn them out together being watching a couple days later, separating during grain feedings for a week or so but allowing them to eat some hay together to establish a pecking order, and then trying it completely monitored closely for a couple days. Lots of patience involved with new herd members

Wasn't my opinion, but I agree that heavy riders aren't the issue, it's the one's that start "jumping" and can't even hold themselves in a two point. Or those riders that are heavier and are on a 14hh pony. There's a certain point where you have to know your animals limits as well as your own. I know plenty of riders that are heavier set that are amazing, I mean I'm no twig and I manage to do just fine. I just always want the safety and comfort of the animal first.

Yes, it's not heavy riders, it's riders who ride heavily(which doesn't have to do with weight). I haven't ever seen anyone on a horse who is obviously uncomfortable carrying their weight, I don't think it's a common event but people like to pretend it is.

A little harder? Please. I don't expect you to ever know the stress a provider goes through, ever. But when protests are threatening the life of my patient and I'm required to divert to a hospital less equipped to deal with their medical needs, then it's an issue. If your ancestors fought and died for this country, why would you disgrace them by sitting during the pledge of allegiance to your flag? To your country? If they sacrificed everything for you to have that right, why sit and pretty much show them they fought for nothing? I can't agree or disagree with the happenings until I'm given the report, but I will never disrespect the people I know and love that fought and died for this country.

No, my ancestors died for this country because they were FORCED to be here. Because this country has a disgusting history, forged off the backs of my people (and other PoC) and every time a black person is legally murdered in cold blood it is a stark reminder of that history and how much effort is placed to hamper any progress, to just hide it as if black people are rabid animals, whose deaths are invalidated because they probably deserved to die because they “look threatening.” I am not disrespecting any soldiers who fought and/or died, I respect the shit out of them. But I will disrespect that shitty piece of fabric, whose white stripes show you who’s in charge and red stripes which is a permanent stain made from the constant stream of blood that gushes from the bodies of my people with no regard or remorse. If you think a cloth is more important than any human being, then you seriously need to get your priorities straightened out and evaluate yourself.

Fair. Opinions are great, but facts are indeed better. And fact is, the President controls an entire military. And my opinion is, without knowing what that war is like, he has no right to do so. So, face, he actually can send troops into "war" for any amount of time, Congress has to call it that. Fact, he doesn't have to have served to do this. Opinion, it's wrong.

This is why he has advisors to advise him in war should it be necessary and that even includes presidents who have served. I will once again say that having military experience is not always helpful considering how well the vietnam war went. Most wars are not led and won by the president anyways but by our well trained military men and women anyways. to say you have to serve to be president would discriminate against great leaders who physically can not serve due to ailments such as blindness and deafness.

I just don't want to reblog, nor really argue, so sarcasm isn't really necessary. Congress can declare war, and the president, without Congress' consent can send troops into war on his own accord, Congress has to name it a war for it to be a war. Also, Congress does not gain the title Commander and Chief of the Armed Forces. They do not control the actions of the military. The president does during a time of war. Without any knowledge of war, how can you command an army?

This is why the president has many many advisors. But we've seen presidents with military background take us into pointless wars as well so you can't say that having a military background is always a good thing. Lyndon B. Johnson was a Naval Commander and he ordered the first combative troops in vietnam and we all know how much no one wanted the vietnam war.

Lmfao. My friend’s horse is so foot sore without shoes. Like unless he’s on soft grass he’s off. He’s completely fine with shoes though.

The first time we tried Dallas barefoot, he literally wore them down soooo short in like 2 days and was sooo foot sore on anything that wasn't super soft and we literally had to put shoes on him. Now about two years later, his feet are fine barefoot but he'd still probably at least need hoof boots or front shoes to do trail riding or frequent work on hard ground that's a little bit rocky in order to be comfortable
