Maybe he and I could start a life. Musing in the shower was never a good idea, but if I could feel the way I did while with him one more time without the twins' aggressive nature, I would. Washing away those thoughts with the rest of the suds, I left the bathroom, towel tucked around my waist. Even after a couple of days wear, the marks are red and angry. I sighed, shaking my head and dropping back onto my bed. I didn't have a clue anymore. That was when my door opened, and H peered in. He was still angry with me. I could see the hatred in his eyes, but I could only look on, bored. "What do you want?"

"I want to know what the hell was going through your mind when you left."

"I just needed to get away for a little while. I noticed you guys didn't send out the police to come after me."

"Why would we do that?" He seemed genuinely confused at the idea.

"Right. I forgot. I'm not worth the thought." H growled at me, growing in anger with my responses. I can't claim to know why he did what he did next. It didn't take long for him to pounce on me. Hands gripped at my shoulders, pulling me up and slamming me against the headboard. A loud 'unf' came from me. Looking me over, H realized just what happened while I was away. The marks that did not belong to him or his brother seemed to stand out in relief. "Is he not good enough for you?"

"It's not that you two are not good enough for me. It's the fact you two argue all the time over whether I should stay here or not. I'm tired and done with it. I don't want to hear the pros and cons of me being here over and over. Not to mention you both use me. Why would I want to stay?" My voice was shaky with anger. H only stared at me, mouth beginning to smirk. He pulled me forward for a moment, as if to press a kiss to me, only to slam me back again, a stomach churning 'crack' ringing in my ears. My head hurt badly, while his smirk turned into a cruel grin. "You like this. You enjoy having me hurt you because you know that deep down you deserve it for hurting your precious love. We don't need you, you should be grateful for your position with us." Fists made contact with my ribcage, agitating the hickeys and bruises already in place.

I wanted to scream for help. I did. But I also knew Sanae would hardly believe what was going on. His darling brother was no longer capable of such violence, after all. Screams ripped from me, while the mad man above me chuckled. He enjoyed ripping me to pieces. One last strike and he moves off of me. "You know how heartbroken Brother would be if he found out.~" I didn't care. I was broken. Physically, mentally, just shattered. I felt so apathetic to everything. How deceiving hope could be at the wrong moment. Pulling one of my pillows close, I cried. The apathy towards it all, the pain I felt. I was guilty.

A few hours later, Sanae came in to check on me. "H said you weren't feeling well, so I thought I would come see you." His voice was soothing. I opened my eyes to look at him, wondering if he could see how empty they appeared. My back felt like hell. He sat next to me, a soothing hand on my shoulder. I couldn't help but wince after the rough treatment from his brother. "What happened here?"

"Nothing."

"You're lying."

"What's your point? It's not your business."

"You are my lover, so yes, it is." Gently tugging the pillow away, all my marks and bruises were exposed in all their glory. Sanae pressed a kiss to my lips. "What is all of this?"

"I don't want to talk about it."

"You cheated."

"And?"

"Is this why you're not feeling well? You feel too guilty to come and face me, properly admit it? What the hell is wrong with you Kiryu?! We've given you a house, a job, our love! How can you just throw it away?"

"Neither of you actually love me so what difference does it make. Your "darling" brother tells me so all the time. That everything was just fine before I came into your lives. If you want me to leave, I will. I'll pack up everything, make an announcement saying I'm resigning from my post and be out of your hair." I was calm, even reflective on the matter.

"You're not going anywhere, Yoshiya. You are mine. You belong to me and H, you know this quite well. We've trusted you, brought you into our lives, made love to you. How dare you think you can just walk away from us?" A cruel smirk so similar to what his brother wore earlier appeared. I whimpered, worried he would slam me down as well. No, Sanae was a master of words, able to build you up and tear you down in moments. "You can't leave us. Why on Earth would anyone want a broken toy?"

My eyes widened, I could see it in the reflection. I hated being called a toy, even less so as broken. "Yes, you are broken, and that pesky man you cheated with only wanted you for a fuck. He doesn't care about you. He was just looking for a cheap one night stand. You are better than that. You belong here with us, and you can't just leave when you want. No, no, no. Our darling savior has to stay here, moaning for me, and only me. Or yelping for H. No one else can hear you moan their name. Only H and I. You're forbidden from leaving the house unless it's for work. Do you understand?" Sanae leaned in close, glaring at me. "And if you have another affair while on business, I will find out. Do you understand, Yoshiya?"

"Yes, master." It wasn't a sarcastic response, but one squeaked out of terror. Suddenly his demeanor changed back to normal. "I'm glad we understand each other. Come down for dinner, please. I made Italian. Chicken Parmesan to be exact." Sanae kissed me again, lips which had spewed such terrible things, so sweet against mine. Resigned to be stuck in this place, I changed for dinner, hoping I wouldn't receive more hatred my way.

OutofCoffee; Hips asked that I make a list of Sanae's fears. At least, the same amount she did for her H. So without further ado:

One of his biggest fears is watching a loved one die before him. Having gone through it once, it has caused Sanae to be overly protective in some situations.

Being alone at night prevents him from sleeping well because he's afraid he's going to be alone forever. After spending 300 years in isolation, being alone does not bode well.

On par with being alone, he is claustrophobic. While somewhat alright with a cramped space for a very short time, he will panic.

Sanae fears the HG finding his brother and taking him away.

Holes. Oddly enough, seeing holes large enough to engulf him makes him think of being pulled down to hell. Or becoming Fallen.

Even though he knows he won't be having any more children, he's still afraid of losing a child. He's already lost his son, and then knowing the past version of his lover appearing must die soon, he's in a state of utter horror.

Watching others eat cordyceps causes a revolting and stomach churning reaction. He's afraid it will mutate to affect humans.

| No Longer Alone.

Joshua was nosy.  So nosy, in fact, that he found himself crossing dimensions unsupervised more often than not, simply to check up on other iterations of his beloved city.  He never thought it as something unacceptable to do, even though he knew many of the higher ups did not agree with his actions. But so what? Joshua felt he was being a responsible composer, doing his own research in order to better improve his own city (and not just for kicks). In his opinion, the angels should be thanking him for doing such arduous legwork!  That said, he did find it extremely interesting to see the differences between his city and all of the others he had visited. Sometimes, the changes were barely noticeable... and at other times, they were blatantly obvious. Joshua found it positively fascinating.  The Shibuya he had found himself in this time seemed similar enough to his own, however, and he was finding it easy to wander its streets. The hustle and bustle of the people was a soothing sight... but before long, and even more soothing sigh caught his peripheral vision.  A tall, familiar looking man was wandering about, with a somewhat dazed look about his face. Graffitti supplies in hand, it couldn't be...  A small smirk lit up the seemingly young boy's face.  Was that Sanae Hanekoma?
