what drew you to ignis and what keeps him compelling?
out. the easy answer to this is “everything”, while the honest answer is also “everything” – whether it be his strengths or his flaws. i am seriously enamored with ignis for a number of reasons, more than i could explain in a single post without writing a novel as a token of my appreciation. he’s fierce, loyal, and a solid pillar of strength and support. a man who encourages the best out of those that surround him, despite his tendency to ‘nag’ or push the envelope with certain ones. he puts his best effort into excellence, while remaining versatile and adaptable. he’s a leader, and he’s a follower, dealing in both with the utmost respect and with no lack of confidence. he gets dealt a heavy hand and still opts to play his part to the utmost of his ability, challenging himself to improve upon a new foundation.
where he may lack sight, he still has vision, knowledge and wisdom to impart to his friends. not once does he ask them to slow down for his sake, but takes it upon himself to push forward and to keep up with their pace.
then there’s this aspect of him that i admire the most —
“you’re not like the others. i’ve seen a few; i know. when i talk, you look at me. when i said something about the moon, you looked at the moon, last night. the others would never do that. the others would walk off and leave me talking. or threaten me. no one has time anymore for anyone else. you’re one of the few who put up with me.”
