It's a stupid rant, but I hate it when a TTRPG system gives different abilities / items / classes / whatever names that mean the same thing.
LANCER has two different conceptual things called "hundred-hander", though they are at least related to each other, but it then goes and fucks it up by having two completely different core bonuses named after two of the three known hundred-handers!
Hecatoncheires = hundred-hander. Centimanes = hundred-handers.
The Centimanes are a group in the Karrakin trade baronies who work in secret and may have developed the hecatoncheires, so we can probably let that pass? If you're willing to accept a secret group are gonna name your secret project after your secret organisation so as soon as somebody discovers it, it's linked back to you. Like how the CIA always names their operations Middle Smart Agents or something.

But Briareos and Gyges *are* two of the three known Hundred-Handers. And they're IPS-N core bonuses for some reason. Absolutely nothing to do with the Hecatoncheires (HORUS) or the Karrakin trade baronies.
