❝ Ah- a vacation? ❞ Kusakabe rubbed the back of his head, a small smile forming on his face as he realized the 'we' part of Higuruma's question.

He'd always take a day off in a heartbeat, and with Higuruma asking? How was he to deny?

❝ I think that'd be good for us. I'll check my schedule, then. Where do you want to go? Anywhere specific? ❞ Kusakabe added, trying to be nonchalant about it despite the fact he was jumping for joy internally.

Kusakabe isn't sure for a moment if he heard Higuruma right. Which is... hilarious considering this isn't the first time he's said something to that effect, but he never fails to pause and think if he heard him correctly.

❝ Pah, you're too much for me, you know that? ❞ He says with a small laugh, his hand reaching out for Higuruma's. He then brings it up to the front of his face, pressing a kiss to the back of it.

❝ That reminds me, y'know... students been saying I smile a lot more recently. Heh, I've only got you to blame. ❞ He can't help but feel a smile settle on his face, his gaze towards Higuruma warm and loving.

❝ So-- you didn't even need to ask. Psh. When you're on my mind, I can't help it. ❞

"I got you some coffee."

❝ Good morning, love. Thank you for the coffee, I'm very grateful since I still have the same job. ❞ Kusakabe pauses for a moment...

❝ Do I want to know how many cups of coffee you've had by now? ❞

"So, I only had two cups of coffee today. But I smoke a lot today, I need a shower, want to join?"

❝...❞ He wasn't entirely sure if he heard Higuruma right. Takes a moment to process it with how casual the offer had been.

❝ I would love that, actually. Yes. ❞

"can we just forget about work today, and watch a movie or something?"

Any excuse to forget about work was good for Kusakabe, but an excuse to spend more time with Higuruma? Yeah, no, work could wait.

❝ Hm... ❞ He pretended to think about it for a moment as if he hadn't already made up his mind the moment the other man asked.

❝ Only if we cuddle on the couch too. Sound like a good enough compromise? ❞ Kusakabe chuckled. As if that wasn't a given already.
