#Repost @boozing_abroad ・・・ In 1795, there were 15 united states 🇺🇸, George Washington was re-elected for his second term🏛, and America's oldest continuously operating tavern 🍺 (excluding prohibition), Bell-in-Hand, was established. 🔔🖐 Now, I know you're thinking.... tell me more about this tavern! Jimmy Wilson, the founder, hated liquor and refused to serve it at Bell-in-Hand, offering only ale. Well, his ale was so thick that it was served in two mugs 🍻 - one for the ale and one for the froth!! 🤯 While we at #boozingabroad love all types of booze🍺🍸🍷, we do love a good ale and enjoyed a large pint at this historic establishment.
