For the writer ask game, I was curious about 19 👀
19. Tell me a story about your writing journey. When did you start? Why did you start? Were there bumps along the way? Where are you now and where are you going? I've been writing for a long time, I think. At least since I was a kid. I've got decrepit spiral school notebooks in a box in the closet of my home office that my dad kept of little stories I would write. Predictably, they're awful. But the sentiment is there 😅 I'm very of the school of thought that everybody has some kind of outlet, sports, art, hobbies, even vices count. I guess I figured out early enough that mine was writing. I've always wanted to take the world around me and the worlds inside me and put them somewhere and stories always came out the easiest. Lulls in muse more than bumps, I think. I'm very much, and very unfortunately, a slave to my own moods when it comes to writing. Thus all the many projects I hop between. But it's still the space I am most myself in. I've written for me mostly, but also for friends, professionally in literary magazines, anthologies and the like, for fanfiction, etc. The goal someday I suppose is to have enough focus to finish one of my novels and punt it out into the world LMAO.
