Monia has now made THREE masterwork beds that are themed about her various encounters with hypothermia

I think the winter was really hard on everyone. At one point everyone was laying in bed like the grandparents from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and just passing a recently killed elk around like a loaf of bread. Things got really rough. I mean BB had a full on mental breakdown because of this (and her racism let's not forget her racism)

Meet Monia's son

This is Huntsman. Or Exorus Hawke (which is a fucking RAD name by the way) He finally recovered from his paralytic abasia and is up and walking around. Apparently when the ship went down, he was able to get into a pod on the other side of the ship.

Unfortunately when the escape pod detached from the ship, it fired off hard enough to get his pod into a low orbit, where he spent most of a year listening to Womanly Meadow Doctrines over the pod radio.

Some dumb fucker in space BLEW UP and it wrecked the wall of our freezer. We're lucky it's winter but god damn we need fresh food

Alyssa woke up in the hospital no longer feeling the pain of the loss of her husband. All she felt in this moment was RAGE

She knew that any action on her fellow colonist could result in her imprisonment So she made her way to the barracks where the bears were sleeping. Once everyone else woke up it was already too late. Her damage had been done and she took the bears life in a blind fury.

Monia ran full speed at Alyssa, pulled out her gun, and smacked her over the head with it (probably a bit too hard) and took her down. Monia claims it was to snap her out of her mindset, but we all saw the tears streaming down her face that morning.

We will honor his memory with his meat and his fur, while Alyssa can recover from her head injury in our hospital, which is still without power ever since the Imps showed up.

Huntsman spotted a woman with a gun at our border today. The poor lady was staring down 3 barrels before she even had a chance to call out. After a lot of yelling from our colonists, Tiffy, as we found out she likes to be called, dropped the gun in a show of faith.

We walked her back to our dining room where we got the chance to sit down and have a town meeting with Tiffy present so she could explain herself. As it turns out she was a slave from childhood until very recently she got her hands on one of her captors jump packs. From there, she wandered the plains for a few days until she found us. She then begged us to let her stay with promises of hard work, community, and mining prowess. After deliberation, we informed her that she is free to stay, provided she contributes to the colony. With that we handed her back her gun and put her to work. Lets hope she can be another helpful defender of HiveWood

Some uh... corpses showed up today. Monia was near the edge of town collecting Berries to prepare for winter when she saw the two figures walking. She initially thought they were raiders and shouted at them to leave which only seemed to encourage them to shamble faster. Monia high tailed it back to town and described them. One is a skeleton coated in a thin layer of sinew that pulls it along like a marionette, another a man in the early stages of rotting.

Mark expressed interest in capturing them to study and understand them... as always. But, when met with the question of where we would keep them, he had no answers. While all of this was going on BB was able to execute her prison break plan and run for the hills. Maybe we will see her one day, but she will still spread our ideology.

Everyone slept in the dining room last night. We realized just in time that the boomrats running at us wanted our blood

We could all hear them hissing and shrieking long into the night, but we knew better than to look outside and let them see us
