To all HIYOIKU fans, I’m proposing a fic idea!!
We all know how hiyori is overly protective of ikuya, he’d do anything for him, even die for him, literally, and that’s what happens, let’s say he pushes him off the way of a moving truck and gets into the accident instead, ikuya loves hiyori but never as much as Hiyori loves him, he always admired haru and had his eyes on haru, but after waking up in a hospital bed and hiyori no were to be found, it sunk in how much he loved hiyori, and somehow just like in Tokyo revengers ( lol ) something triggers a time leap and ikuya decides to change everything from the childhood of hiyori playing in the sand alone!
Bonus points if we add an enraged Kaede after realizing ikuya was the “ reason “ for hiyori’s death, and the three of them grow up to be friends playing in the sand and swimming, both kaede and ikuya fighting over hiyori.

THERE’S JUST!! SOMETHING ABOUT THEM!! Like it’s so vivid and we’ve talked about it before with Ikuya already (all of the beloveds who got fixated on mermaid imagery at one point or another have been hit with Iwatobichan’s Gender Beam™️) BUT I can imagine Natsuya just coming back out of the woodwork one day and hitting Nao up like “I think we’re lesbians 😌↕️” and Nao being like “… elaborate, I’m listening”
Haru/Hiyori/Nao “I could be enby but I’m too busy to think about that right now” and transfem Ikuya/Natsuya are just. Fun to think about?? AND ALSO transmasc Haru being someone that Ikuya tries to heavily emulate when they’re young to eventually Realizing Things later on has a lil kick to it. Fun lil stories to play around with!!
