Heart Like Yours – Chapter XVII: Miracle Boy.

Chapter XVII: There’s a confession and a conclusion. Hyde talks to someone unlikely while Jackie hears something unexpected she never thought would happen. Kitty, Red, and Hyde hear some news.

Heart Like Yours, original characters: The New York clique, part IV.

Alice Grant: A painter and school buddy of Jackie’s, ‘Allie’ grow up in Jersey, she is also Morgan’s roommate and was Bruce’s girlfriend until she decided to break up with him since she doesn’t want any compromises at the moment. She met Jackie at school and bonded with her for being the only no-newyorkers ones.

She went to visit her family in China for the winter break, and wasn’t able to come back to America to see Jackie after the accident. Her friends keep her informed as much as they can, but having her at the other side of the world has make it difficult.

Bruce Santoro: Milo’s oldest friend and partner in crime since they were kids. Bruce always wanted to be a writer, and bonded over this dream with Milo, who ultimately became a journalist. 

In the present story, Alice broke up with him just when he was planning on proposing to her. He went to visit Jackie and support Milo in his grief, knowing about the broken engagement and Milo’s sense of culpability for it.

Heart Like Yours, original characters: The New York clique, part II.

Victoria Franco: ‘Vic’ is an amateour fashion designer who works for Martha Harrington, Milo’s mother. 

She met Jackie thanks to her boss and quickly became friends with her once she learned the girl didn’t knew anyone in the city but her boyfriend and family, introducing Jackie to Morgan, another designer friend of hers. Together, they had formed a strong relationship that made Donna jealous at first.

Victoria become Jackie’s best friend after showing her the best of the city and accompanying her during her lonely afternoon’s as Milo worked. She hasheard so much about Hyde, she takes a lot of liberties with him when they met and calls him ‘trainer’ thanks to a memory Jackie shared with her, something that haunts Hyde since the girl refuses to tell him what was it.

In spite her almost annoying alwayssohappy self, she can be serious when it’s needed and will always want the best for her loved ones. 

She and June have an apartment together, they became friends thanks to Jackie, and take her as their second roommate when the engagement if off. They went together to visit Jackie at the hospital in Point Place alongside Morgan and Noah, who is her older brother.

June Roland: Also known as ‘Rolo’ or ‘Juny’, he is one of Jackie’s best friends in New York. They met when they were very young thanks to their families, since both grew up rich and slowly, thier families started to lose weight on society and money.

He is studying Communications with Jackie, finding her after so many years of not seeing the other is like a sign for him that everything will be fine, since he lives over stressed about his parents finding out he is gay. 

Even with his fear, June is actually very open about his sexuality and has no problem wth strangers in the matter. He is openly gay with his friends, and wishes one day be brave enough to tell his parents the truth.

He and Vic went to visit Jackie at the hospital after the accident, with their friends Morgan and Noah, who are also friends with Eric and Donna.

Heart Like Yours, original characters: The Peterson Girls.

Kat Peterson: An old school partner for Jackie and the gang back in Point Place, Kat had a not-so-good fame and even had a fling with Hyde for the long of a week. She can be seen in the show during season 2,  in the episode ‘Burning Down The House’.

In the story, she’s now a single mother working as a secretary for a very prestigious lawyer firm. She encounters Jackie during her travel back to Point Place in the bus that later will have an accident, leavin her daughter, Harley, and Jackie in coma.

Kat dies during chapter 6, the night of the 3th of december, 1982, leaving her daughter alone and Jackie with a heartache.

Harley Peterson: Little Harley is Kat’s daughter, the reason she changed and became a better person. Her family rejected them when Ka decided to keep her after being also rejected by the girl’s father, who reminds a mystery.

She is with her mother during the accident that then leaves her in coma, becoming Jackie’s totem of hope. Harley wakes up from her coma on chapter 12, the morning of the 4th of december, 1982.
