I think Jacob’s definition of “wonderful” changed a lot after his stint in Azkaban. He found a new appreciation for just being outside, feeling the sun and breeze. Hearing the sounds of life all around him. And that to him was wonderful.

Do you have any hc or sketches of your mc and her brother? Like when they were little or just before he disappears? I’d really love to see your mc and her big brother together or some hc’s about their similarities and differences

they’re four years apart in age

for the most part they got along pretty well

Freya’s more talkative, more likely to start a conversation with someone

Jacob is the snarkier and more cynical one

Freya is more open about her emotions

Jacob is a much better liar, and also a good storyteller

their taste in music seems very different at first, but they also enjoy each other’s music (not that they’ll admit it)

both love learning, and embrace muggle tech/culture

I mean, I can see why Merula becomes so thirsty for him. She still needs to back off though.

As a side bit of trivia, his glasses lens change color depending on his mood and are there to protect his very sensitive eyes.
