Brian K. Vaughan's 2003 Mystique run is somewhat dated and it's uncomfortable because of that at times but the plot and art and queerness of it is wonderful. it's in 2003 so it's 25 years into Mystique's publication history but it's one of the first instances she's allowed to be so unapologetically queer. it reveals things about her powers and it's a deep dive into her character that succeeds where X-Factor stumbled. oh and shortpack is gay

OOOOOHHH THE VOID!!!! That reminds me of that one Fic you wrote where the Jims got tosssed into the void. Still one of my favorites to read. Why do I love seeing hurt or traumatized characters be comforted after an incident so much? But fr tho.... more people need to experience the Void. And the aftermath. And Doc fretting over them. 💡....................... would Yandere ever make Dark mad enough to be put in the void? 👀👀👀 imagine the aftermath, the worry and comfort Doc would give to his son. Mmmm....

Yan getting put in the void is an interesting idea! Tbh tho, I’m not sure it would happen, at least not with my versions of the characters. For one, Dark totally plays favorites with Yan, and he’d be really reluctant to punish him in any way unless he did something really egregious. And second, even if Yan did do something really bad, putting him in the void might not be much of a punishment for him XD He finds Dark and his aura comforting, not scary like the other egos do. So getting put into the place that Dark controls, that has Dark’s presence all over it...would not be a bad thing to Yan XD

The only situation I could see Yan getting put in Dark’s void and not liking it is if Dark ever broke up with Yan or cheated on him or otherwise broke his heart. Yan would go absolutely off the handle, and not even Dark would be able to talk him down. Dark would have to put Yan in his void so Yan couldn’t hurt Dark, or, if he couldn’t do that, hurt someone else. It would take Yan hours to calm down enough for Dark to let him out into the clinic so Doc could look after him, and it’d be a huge mess all-around. Although, in that situation, being trapped in Dark’s void would be secondary in Yan’s mind compared to the Dark-breaking-his-heart problem ;w;
