Obsession of the week:
HyperMall Unlimited Violence
Its a deeply satircal cyberpunk (meatpunk?) ttrpg and it has infested my brain.
The HyperMall encompasses the landmass historians believe once was called the United States. 8 billion people live here, they are born, work, buy and die inside the Mall. Except dying is a bit tricky, since everyone with citizenship-level subscription gets respawned by the resurrection algorithm, printing a new body and copies of personal belongings within minutes.
That's what makes the players jobs difficult. You are subcontractors for Slaughtr, the assassination app and its your job to permakill whoever you are paid to.
Playable character include, but are not limited to:
- priest of the Church of the Consumer
- degenerate descendand of the British Parliament-in-exile
- genetically engineered police-pig
- psionic crypto-bro that can drain your bank account by speaking to you
- Krampus
You have shotguns that use your shit as munitions, mutations that make your eyes magnetic, psy powers that let you sacrifice a fax machine to read the future in its entrails.
Im hooked. My only criticism is that the rulebook is really hard to look at
