Hayden's Notes/Laevateinn chapter: tapas/webtoon
Thank you, @incogneat-oh, for proof-reading! <3
Let me show you amount of some of my drafts and ideas for Hayden's Notes that I wrote on paper.
I did a template for a basic characters sheets. At first I wanted to do it in gdoc excel, but got confused and frustrated with table column width. So I just did it on paper and made many copies. For main characters I write additional information on a separate sheet of paper which I clip to the dossier.
At some point I got paranoid that what if one day gdoc would erase all my files and I'd lose all my random dialogue ideas, so I printed them. 36 pages, 2 colimn, 10 size font xD
My leather cover with random HN information: glossary, timeline, full characters list with minimum description, plot ideas, places, organizations, creatures, etc
Is my old big sketchbook in which I did Hayden's Journal entries for Inktober. Now I use it for little plot ideas with quick sketches.
I also have a lot of digital Hayden's Notes concepts and ideas: concepts, drafts of chapters, random dialogues and plot ideas.
I wish I could draw actual comic faster or be like "eh good enough, onto the next page". Working on plot, dialogues, concepts are fun and enjoyable. Putting out the comic and getting less views and comments with each update is feeding my sceptical nature. Like "See? What's the point? Your comic doesn't have romantic relationships, huge epic action scenes, drama, provocative edge. Of course, it's not popular. And you don't want to change it to be more popular then maybe just stop and do something else with your time". But hope springs eternal and I stubbornly keep drawing, hoping one day it'll at least bring me enough stability to not be a stereotypical starving artist xD
I actually whittled Hayden's wand for fun and for ref :D
