*Y/n is sat with Thorin's company as they feast in Rivendell, having stopped there on their way to the lonely mountain. Gandalf and Throin are sat with Lord Elrond at a separate table chatting about the swords they had found in the troll's hoard on the Great East road. Y/n sipping on some water as their eyes are focused on Lord Elrond, sat beside Y/n is their best friend Bofur, who is currently having a laugh about Kili mistaking one of the Ellon musicians for an Elleth. Once his laughing had settled he turns his attention to Y/n and sees their dreamy and borderline lovesick expression, he follows their line of sight and realizes that their gaze is set on the Lord of Rivendell.*
Bofur: "Fancy the Elven Lord, do you laddie/lass?" He teases, elbowing their side.
Y/n: They scoff lightly, giving him a light elbow back, their voice falling to a hushed tone, shifting their gaze to Bofur, a faint look of annoyance on their face "Sssh! The Lord will hear you" They turn their sights back to Elrond "I'll have you know that elves have impeccable hearing."
Bofur: His voice falls to a whisper as he leans in to speak into their ear. "I don't doubt that, laddie/lass. However the Lord is bound to catch you eyeing him sooner or later, best you save yourself the humiliation-"
Y/n: "Oh hush!" Y/n says in a whisper yell "He won't catch me, I've made sure of that. You see the trick is, is to divert my eyes just as he's about to look over and I haven't had to do that yet, see, he's still talking to Gandalf." Y/n notices Thorin stand up and walk away, their gaze following Thorin for a brief moment before returning it to the Lord of Rivendell and their gaze accidently meets with Lord Elrond's, the eye contact causing their heart to skip several beats "Oh Valar" They whisper as they quickly bring their gaze down to the table below, their cheeks flushing at the sudden eye contact with the handsome Lord of Rivendell.
*Bofur laughs at Y/n's flustered state, elbowing their side once again*
You glared at Bofur. “Its not funny…” you growled before excusing yourself from the table. You needed to find a place to calm your pounding heart.
You found a quiet spot and sat down before you began to count the scars on your arms from the battles you had been through.
You paused when you came to the large scar on your bicep and a smile spread across your face. This scar wasnt from a battle, this was from when Fili and Kili were much younger. The three of you had been fooling around in the forest, doing things you knew you shouldn't do, things that would get you into deep trouble.
Someone cleared their throat and you looked up to see the lord of rivendell looking at you with a soft smile on his face.
You quickly rose to your feet and boiled. “My lord, i-”
He gently cut you off. “Why don't you join me for a walk in the garden?” he asked, holding out his hand to you.
Blushing, you took it, unable to speak or meet his gaze for fear that you would embarrass yourself.
After a few moments of silence, Elrond spoke. “Tell me, how are you enjoying your stay in Rivendell?”
You blushed before speaking. “I've found it quite calm here, which is far from what i am used to, as you know dwarves are seldom quiet.”
Elrond nodded and you noticed he was watching you with mild interest, a soft smile on his face. “And why is it that a young maiden such as yourself is traveling with a rowdy group of dwarves?”
You smiled. “Well, Gandlf asked me to accompany him and i can never turn down an opportunity for an adventure, especially one that includes parels and danger.”
“I see…” he said, “it appears your group is preparing to leave.” he nodded in the direction of the dwarves as they snuck out of the valley.
“I should be going then, I don't wish to be left behind.”
“Well then, this is where I leave you, burn if you are always welcome in the valley, please stop by of you are passing through.”
“I will keep that in mind, i would love to return if i get a chance.”
Elrond took your hand in his and placed a soft liss on your knuckles. “I will be waiting for your return,” he said softly.
Pink covered your face and you backed away before running to catch up with the others. “What just happened?” you asked yourself as you fell in with the rest of the group.
You stood, watching the elves dance with one another. You frowned and sighed, finishing your third- or was this your forth- glass of wine.
“Y/n, you don’t seem to be enjoying yourself… what is the matter?”
You looked up to see lord Elrond. “I-it’s nothing…” you lied, avoiding eye-contact.
He gently took the empty wine glass from your hand. “Come, dance with me.” He said as he took your hands.
“My lord, I hate to decline, but I don’t fell like-“ you gasped as he spun you around.
He took you through the dance and you accidentally stepped on his foot. “I’m sorry…” you whispered.
He gave you a gentle smile. “It’s ok…”
You tripe’s and fell, almost taking Elrond down with you.
“Are you alright?”
You didn’t answer as you ran out of the ball room, a little laughter coming from behind you as you ran.
You ran until you reached the garden then you collapsed and began to softly cry, looking up at the stars.
“Y/n?”
You didn’t respond.
Elrond sat on the grass next to you, gently placing his hand on your back. “Are you hurt?”
You let out a sob. “I-I just…”
Elrond pulled you to him so your head could rest on his chest. “Y/n, I-”
“I don’t know how to dance…” you admitted, pushing away and going to stand. “I’m sorry, I must have embarrassed you something awful when I fell…” you mumbled, turning to leave. “I-I think I’ll turn in for the night, save you from being embarrassed by me again-”
Suddenly, you felt a hand on your waist and you were spun around. “It’s I who should apologize, I shouldn’t have pushed you to do something you didn’t want to…” he paused, looking in your eyes. “Though… I could teach you to dance… if you’d like…”
You smiled. “I would like that, I-if it’s not to mu-”
He held up his hand, “it’s not a problem at all, besides, I needed an excuse to get away from the ballroom, Thranduil was driving me crazy.
You chuckled and he led you through a waltz. You paused when he yelped from you stepping in his toes again. “I’m sorry!”
He gently cupped your cheek, “it’s ok, your learning…”
“Wait, hold on…” you bent down to undo your shoes, fighting the skirt of your dress.
Elrond chuckled. “Here, sit…” he said, motioning to a bench.
You sat and he knelt, gently undoing your shoes for you. Your cheeks heated as his hands brushed agents your skin as he undid the clasps.
He pulled you to your feet and helped you dance. You thought you’d gotten it when suddenly you both fell, you landed in top of him, your chest agents his.
He put his arms around your lower back. “Heh, I knew you’d fall for me…” he muttered before placing his lips on yours.
“If I told you the truth of who I am, you would hate me.” (Prompt)
Mellon nin: my friend
“Two more sheep were killed last night along with a horse, we are running low on live stock.” You heard Lord Elrond say to Lindir as you pressed your ear up against the door. You frowned and tears ran down your face. You didn’t want to kill them but you were starving.
That had been three days ago…
You sat quietly in a corner of the library watching as Lindir read a book. You could hear his heart beating from across the room you licked your lips subconsciously before gently sinking your sharp fang into your bottom lip. You were hungry and with every passing second you grew more hungry. You loved him yes, but your want for blood was driving you mad. You shifted in your seat and Lindir looked up, his deep brown eyes meeting your face. “Y/n, is everything alright?”
His voice almost pushed you over the edge of your quickly dwindling self control. “Everything is fine, Lindir…” you lied.
He set down the book and walked over to you, his robes swaying slightly as they did. He gently placed his hand on your cheek. You could feel his pulse. You whimpered slightly and Lindir frowned, gently stroking your cheek. He was driving you mad and he didn’t even know it.
“Lindir please, not now…”
His frown deepened and he pulled up a chair. “Y/n… what’s wrong?”
You looked away from him, trying to ignore his heart beating which seemed as if it were in your ear.
You looked at him with shame in your eyes. He gently took your hands. “Y/n, what bothers you?”
You closed your eyes and let out a whimper. “I-if I told you the truth, you would hate me, Mellon nin…”
“I could never hate you.”
You frowned. “And you can’t help me with my situation…” you mumbled as your eyes fell upon his neck. You could see his veins there pulsating with every beat of his heart.
“Y/n… you worry me.”
You bit the tip of your tongue with your right fang, hoping that the taste of your own blood would sooth your ache for his, it did not instead it only became worse.
“Y/n, please…”
You looked into his pleading eyes and sighed. “Lindir, I’m hungry, but not for food, I’m hungry for something else, something far…sweeter…”
“Like a desert? Wine? Tea and honey?”
You shook your head. “No I’m hungry for-”
“I’ve got it, the ginger berries I brought well snuck you last week.”
You shook your head.
“Then… what?”
You moveded closer until your lips were mere inches from his.
“Y-y/n?” He asked nervously.
You smiled. “I’m hungry for…you…” was your whispered response before you pressed your lips on his.
He gave off a muffled yelp before pulling you closer and running his fingers through your soft hair.
You pulled away and gently kissed his neck. “But I can’t have you… you’d hate me if I told you the truth of what- who I am…”
He kissed your soft lips again. “Y/n, I would never hate you…”
“Even if I was a blood-thirsty monster?” You asked.
“Y/n, you’re not a-” he stoped mid sentence as you grimaced, flashing your fangs. You gently licked one of them and Lindir gulped loudly.
You waited for him to shout for the guards, to grab the sword from the set of armer next to him, for him to hit you. But he did none of those, instead he gently cupped your face in his hands and he pressed his lips on yours. “You’re beautiful…” you whispered before he tilted his head back, exposing his neck.
You hesitated a moment before kissing his neck and slowly moving your tongue in small circles. “Well? Are you gonna bite me or not?” He whispered.
You smiled and sank your fangs into his neck, drawing a small amount of blood. He gasped and then went limp as you slowly sucked his blood. He let out a tiny moan and clawed your back. “A-am I going to become like you?”
You drew back and licked the blood from his neck and your lips. “I would never make you endure this curse, never being able to step into the light of the sun, always wanting blood, always starving. Food is good yes, but in order for me to live I need blood, I could never turn you into a monster like me…”
Lindir placed his lips on yours. “I’ll gladly give my blood if it means you’ll stay alive.”
You frowned. “Lindir, I need more than just a taste to survive, I need much more…”
His eyes widened. “It was you! You killed the cattle horses and sheep! Y-you drained them of their blood you your a-a…”
“Monster?”
He shook his head. “I’ll find you food, but you can’t go killing the animals.”
“Lindir I didn’t want to kill them I was starving! If I didn’t drink their blood I would die.”
He gently placed his finger over your lips. “As I said before, I will find you food, don’t worry…”
You smiled and gently sank your teeth into his neck once more, only taking a little, you didn’t want to weaken him from taking too much blood.
Lindir sank to his knees and you fallowed him, taking his blood as slowly as you could, enjoying every drop.
You heard metal scraping and you looked up to see lord Elrond standing with his sword drawn and wide eyed. “Step away from him.”
You retracted your fangs from Lindir’s neck and he fell limp in your arms.
Elrond’s eyes widened even more when he saw the blood on Lindir’s neck, it slowly trickled down.
“You better pray he isn’t dead or the death I give to you will be slow and painful, you wretched monster.”
Tears pricked your eyes and you clutched Lindir close, using the body of the elf you loved as a shield.
“Let go of him.”
“And expose my body as an easy target do you think I’m mad?”
Elrond glared. “Well you obviously aren’t in your right mind that’s for certain.”
Lindir’s eyes fluttered open and he looked up at you, his hand slowly landing on your cheek. “Y/n, you didn’t have to bite me so hard, you know that, right?”
You looked down at him and the tears in your eyes fell, hitting his cheek.
He sat up and gently wiped away the tears. “Hey I’m alright, you didn’t hurt me I promise, I know you would never hurt me…”
“Lindir! She just drank your blood doesn’t that scare you?!?” Lord Elrond shouted, fearful for Lindir’s health.
Lindir looked over and gasped when he saw the sword. “My lord, please put the sword away, she means no harm.”
“She drank your blood!”
“Because I let her!”
“You what?” Elrond asked, sword falling from his grasp.
Lindir rose and you did as well. “She was starving, she knew she couldn’t keep going after our livestock so she came to me for help, and I knew what had to be done,” Lindir looked at you. “Sometimes we have to make a sacrifice for the ones we love…”
You blushed and looked away. “Lindir,” you murmured trying to hide the redness in your cheeks.
Elrond looked between the two of you and sighed. “Lindir do you really love and trust her?”
Lindir looked at you, gently cupping your face in his hands. “Yes, I do.”
You smiled and hugged him, burying your face in his chest as you slowly took in his scent.
Lord Elrond picked up his sword, sheathed it and walked to the door. “Oh, and y/n,” he said, pausing in the doorway. “I would recommend finding another food source, the livestock is running low…”
You buried your face further into Lindir’s chest, inhaling deeply. “I’ll find a way…”
-.-.-
One hundred years later, all of Rivendell knew your secret and none of them hated you. In fact, you became a guardian of Rivendell, Gandalf had found a way for you to spend small periods of time in the sunlight and you used that time wisely, scouting for any dangers and hunting down wild animals. There were so many right outside of Rivendell they you didn’t have to kill them. You only took a little from each, so both you and they survived.
As for Lindir…
“Come on! Jump!” The little elfling shouted.
You shook your head as your husband plunged into the water along with your twins a boy and a girl. “Lindir,” you said smiling and shaking your head. “I had twins, not triplets…”
Lindir swam over to the dock and pulled himself up. “Come on, it’s a perfect day for a swim!” And with that he pulled you into the water.
Your children were blessed. They were half vampire, meaning they drank blood yes, but it wasn’t essential for them to live. They could stay in the sun much longer than you, they just burnt easily.
You splashed Lindir. “That’s for pulling me in!”
Yes your life had turned out the be great in all the right spots.
“Cannonball!” Elrohir shouted with his twin brother, Elladan right behind. Very few could tell them apart and your family was amongst those few. Even though they were over two thousand years old, they still behave like children at times.
Elf Reader x self-harm elf pt two. (Legolas & Thranduil)
You walked up to and grabbed Legolas’ hands. “Sit down, you’ve been overworking yourself for days.”
he shook his head. “I’m fine, y/n…”
His voice and face told the truth but you could see the lie in his eyes.
“Legolas…” you began, gently rubbing your thumbs over his fingers. “You’re not fine… whatever is the matter?”
he pulled his hand away and tucked a stray hair behind his ear and your eyes widened when you saw the little cuts on his wrists.
you grabbed his hand and pulled up his sleeve. “Oh Legolas…why?”
he looked away with tears in his eyes. “I don’t belong here…”
“what?”
he looked over at Gimli as he Daugherty at one of Mary’s jokes. “Even Gimli fits in better than I do…”
“no Legolas…”
“and besides. No one really wants me here.”
“that isn’t true.”
“Ey, she’s right lad, your wanted here.” Gimli said, suddenly appearing next to you both.
“by who?”
“me!” You and Gimli both cried at the same time.
“what?” Legolas asked.
“who else is gonna save me from people who want to cut off me head?” Gimli asked referring to the incident with the riders of Rohan.
“And your important for this mission.”
Legolas crossed his arms.
you looked down. “And I… love you…” you whispered but you knew his ears picked it up.
“you do?”
you nodded and he smiled. “I love you too…”
you knocked on the door to Thranduil’s room before opening it.
“y/n, how many times must I tell you to wait for an answer before opening the door go out and try again.”
you blushed and backed out of the room when you suddenly saw blood on Thranduil’s hand. You walked closer. “Your bleeding…”
He gave you a cold look. “I told you to go out and close the door.” He seethed as he gave you a glance from his chair.
By now you’d gotten used to his sudden mood swings. You gently took his hand and looked at his wrist before gasping and covering your mouth in shock. “Thranduil, why are you doing this?”
He gave you an even colder look. “I told you too leave-” he paused as you gently cupped his face in your hands.
“Why would you want to hurt yourself?”
he looked away. “That’s none of your concern…”
you frowned. “You know this just makes me want too-”
“want to what?!”
you knew this could go rather way but you had to try. You bent down and drew closer. “Want too…” you placed your lips on his and whatever he was going to say next turned into a sound of shock and pleasure. He pressed his lips into yours as he stood, towering over you as he kissed back.
when you pulled away his scowl was replaced with a beautiful smile. “Thank you, y/n…”
I’m basing this story after a short I saw here it is if y’all want a peak:
It was the big night. You stood before your mirror, adjusting your dress and putting on your crown before heading out to find your father. Your dress swayed as you walked up to your Lindir and your father.
“I’m ready.”
Lindir gave you a smile. “Lady Y/n, you look lovely.”
You blushed at the compliment. “I-thank you, Lindir… and how many times must I tell you just to call me y/n?”
“At least once more, my lady.”
Your father smiled. “Lindir, please take y/n to the ballroom I shall be there in a moment…”
You linked your arm with Lindir’s and he looked away, smiling slightly.
The two of you entered the large room and you were immediately met by a tall charming elf. “Lady y/n, a pleasure.”
You inwardly groaned as he asked for a dance but being too shy to say no you reluctantly agreed.
You gave Lindir a goodbye look before dancing with the elf.
Lindir stood, watching you with a frown. He began fantasizing about him being the one who had his hands on your waist as you danced.
“She likes you, you know,” a voice said, pulling him out of his fantasies.
“What?” Lindir asked, looking over at Lord Elrond.
Elrond pored a glass of wine and looked over at Lindir. “It’s not hard to see. You’ve worked with me for many years. I can tell you fell the same towards her,” he said before lifting the glass to his lips.
Lindir stood silently as lord Elrond began to talk with another elf.
You appeared next to Lindir. “He’s awful, all he can think of is himself.”
Lindir looked over at you. “I’m sorry,” he whispered.
“But he’s nowhere near as bad as this one…” you groaned as a stuck-up elf walked towards you. You looked at Lindir before grabbing his hands. “Come on, dance with me…please?”
He nodded. “I-I sure…”
You blushed madly and smiled. “Thank you, Lindir…” you whispered.
His grip on your body tightened the slightest bit. Your breath stoped as you realized you’d never had such a good time with anyone else.
Lord Elrond returned to where he’d left Lindir and looked around confused when he couldn’t find him. A smile adorned his face when he saw you laugh as Lindir said something and spun you around.
You both stoped and Lindir bowed. “Thank you, my lady.”
You smiled and gently tilted his chin up. “The thanks is mine…”
Lindir placed his hand on the back of his neck and looked away before walking off.
You smiled and shook your head as Lindir walked up to your father, saying something you couldn’t hear.
Suddenly, your waist was roughly grabbed and you were pulled into a dance. So you ended up having to dance with him anyways. Great.
“Seems you had the courage to ask her for a dance?”
Lindir blushed. “I-I…” he looked at his feet and sighed. “No I didn’t…”
“Whatever do you mean?” Elrond asked, siping his wine.
“She… asked me…”
Elrond almost choked on the wine and looked over at Lindir. “She asked you?”
Lindir couldn’t meet his lord’s eyes. “Y-yes…”
A thoughtful look came over Elrond’s face. “I never thought she’d have the courage…”
Lindir sighed, a dreamy look on his eyes. “I wish it hadn’t ended so soon…”
Elrond looked over to lindir and sighed. “Lindir…I give you my permission to court her…if you wish to peruse her.”
Lindir’s eyes went huge. “But my lord, I’m not of a noble decent…”
“No, but you’d make her happy… I leave it up to you, lindir…”
Lindir blinked a few times, nervously thinking about what that would mean for you, for him, for both of you…
Elrond watched Lindir as he thought before walking off. Tears pricked his eyes. You were his youngest child and because of that you were babied constantly. It was odd to think that you may end up courting someone before the rest of your siblings-well Arwen was pretty much being courted by Aragorn.
You tried to maintain yourself as you danced with the snobby elf that held you a little too tightly.
He’d pulled you out of the ballroom and to a balcony.
“I don’t think we should be out here.”
He pulled you to his chest. “Why? Would you rather be somewhere even more secluded, baby?”
“I am not your ‘baby’!” You growled.
Your father heard your distressed voice and went to investigate.
Suddenly, you were being dipped and he was about to kiss you. You knew you had only one option, let yourself fall to the floor.
Elrond was fuming and went to stop the madness when Lindir beat him to it.
You let yourself fall and someone swept you up before you hit the ground, spinning you in his arms. Lindir. You blushed as he held you bridal style.
“Hey! What gives?!” The elf growled.
Lindir placed you back on your feet but held your body to his chest as the tall elf crossed his arms and looked down at you both.
Lindir took a breath. “It doesn’t take a genius to know that she was not enjoying what you were doing, that is no way to treat a lady.”
You clutched Lindir’s shirt and buried your head in his chest. “L-lindir…” you whimpered, trembling.
“You don’t have the right to speak to an elven prince like that you-”
“Actually, he does,” Elrond said, cutting him off. “Lindir is my right hand and if you disrespect him you’re disrespecting me.”
“I- lord Elrond. I-I don’t know I-”
Elrond held up his hand. “If I ever see you touch my daughter I will not hesitate to act even if that means war.”
Finally coming out of shock, you let out a sob.
Lindir looked at you than Elrond. Elrond nodded and lindir pulled you away to another balcony close by but out of ear shot.
He sat and you sobbed into his chest. “H-he tried t-to…to, oh Lindir it was awful…” you sobbed.
He gently rubbed your back. “Y/n, I’m here…”
You looked up at him. “No ‘lady’ this time?” You asked with a tiny smile.
Lindir gently wiped your tears away. “Are you alright? He didn’t hurt you did he?”
You shook your head. “Only scared me.”
Lindir brushed your hair out of your face. “T-there’s something I wish to say…if you’ll allow me…”
You smiled. “You don’t need my permission, speak.”
He took a breath and let it out. “Y/n…” he began, looking into your eyes. “I love you…”
Your eyes widened. “Y-you love me,” you asked in amazement.
Lindir nodded. “I-I do…”
You stood, pulling him to his feet as you did so. “I love you too…” you whispered, gently pulling on his shirt so you could press your lips on his.
Lindir’s arms wrapped gently around your waist, pulling your body close to his.
Your fingers got tangled in his hair as the kiss went from soft and sweet to deep and loving.
Elrond went to check on the two of you and apologize for not realizing the situation sooner when he stoped dead in his tracks at the entrance to the balcony. Tears of love and joy filled his eyes as you slowly pulled away from the kiss.
He watched as suddenly tears filled your eyes and you looked at your feet. “I-is this are we even allowed to-”
Lindir cut you off with a quick and gentle kiss. “Your father has already given me his blessing…”
You smiled and wrapped your arms around him. “Oh Lindir… thank you…”
“For what?”
“Rescuing me from a fait I wouldn’t have escaped on my own. Though I am surprised, I’ve never seen you so bold before…”
“Well… when it comes to the people I love, boldness is the one thing I don’t lack.”
You kissed his cheek. “Yes but a small amount of stupidity fallows. I thought he was going to hit you…”
Lindir pulled you to his chest and gently placed his chin on top of your head. “I’d of taken an arrow to keep you from him.”
You smiled and slowly took in his scent before kissing his chest. “Shall we go back to the dance floor?”
“Depends… who’s the one dancing with you if we do?”
You chuckled. “You of corse.”
Elrond cleared his throat. “Actually, I’d like one dance with my daughter then she’s yours for the night, Lindir…”
You and Lindir looked at one another than your father. “Deal…”
Your father led you to the dance floor and you looked up at him with a smile. “Ada, I love him…”
Elrond smiled at you. “I know you do, I’ve seen it for years now.”
“Are you ok?” You asked as his eyes became watery.
Elrond smiled as a tear rolled down his cheek. “Y/n, I just want you to know that no one is ever good enough for your little girl until suddenly… there’s one person that you realize is, I’ve known him for years and there is no one I’d trust more than him to be by your side.”
You smiled. “He’s incredible, I’ve no doubt of that…”
Elrond gently kissed your forehead as the dance ended. “My little girl isn’t little anymore…”
You gently wiped the tears from his face. “I love you, Ada…”
Elrond smiled. “I love you too, y/n,” he whispered before spinning you around and leaving you in Lindir’s arms.
“Well? What did he say?” Lindir asked.
You smiled. “He said there’s no one he trusts to have me more than you…”
Lindir smiled at those words. “I love you… I always will…”
imagine: Lindir going to you because he can’t sleep…
(I’m changing Elrond’s family tree just a wee 🤏 bit…)
Lindir lay in bed, staring at the sealing. He’d tried to fall asleep for over two hours now. He just couldn’t sleep. Not after what he had seen earlier. It was something he wished he hadn’t seen. You gently kissing lord Elrond’s son, Elladan, on his cheek. He stood and put a black cloak on over himself and went to your chambers.
You were packing back and forth, speaking to Elladan. “He’s just a friend, I’m not-”
You paused when you heard a knock.
“Y/n? You awake?”
You immediately recognized it as Lindir’s voice. You opened the door. “What is it Mellon?”
He sighed, fidgeting with his cloak. “Can we talk?”
You nodded and let him in as Elladan hid in the closet (no pun intended). “What is it?”
He sighed, gently grabbing your hand. “It’s… complicated.”
You raised an eyebrow.
He sighed and began to talk a mile a minute. “I love you, y/n which I know I shouldn’t say because you and prince Elladan are together but I fell ill never sleep if I didn’t get it off my chest I’m sorry I-I know I shouldn’t have said-”
He quit rambling when you burst into laughter and Elladan ‘fell’ out of the closet, wheezing.
Lindir looked terribly hurt by Elladan’s sudden appearance and your laughter.
“Oh, Lindir, she’s my cousin… once removed on her father’s side…” Elladan said.
Lindir looked at the two of you greatly confused. You chuckled. “King Elros, lord Elrond’s brother, was my grandfather,” you explained. “Manwendil was my father and he married my mother, an elf who chose a mortal life but I-I didn’t want that- a mortal life- and after exploring every corner of middle earth that I could I came here to settle for a while.”
Lindir was a pink mess now and Elladan winked at you and made kissy faces before leaving.
You rolled your eyes before looking at lindir and smiling.. “You’re quite cute when you’re flustered…” you whispered, slowly walking to him.
Lindir backed away and you drew nearer until you had lindir pressed between you and the wall. You intertwined your fingers with his before pinning his hands on ether side of his head. “Well…” you began trying to seem disappointed. “I was hoping you’d be a gentlemen and kiss me…”
He turned even more red and looked away. “I-I…” he met your eyes for a second. “I can do tha-”
You pressed your lips on his. “You take to long…”
His slipped his hands from your grasp and put them on your hips, pulling you even closer which you didn’t know was possible.
You smiled and kissed him repeatedly, pulling off his cloak and unbuttoning his night shirt so you could get to his collarbone, nipping it gently.
How you ended up laying on top of him on the bed you didn’t know but that didn’t matter all you wanted was to continue kissing him, watching as he moaned and arched his back.
-.-.-
You woke in Lindir’s arms the blankets still beneath you both. You nuzzled closer nipping at his shoulder since his shirt had slipped off it. He opened his eyes and smiled before pinning you on the bed and getting on top of you. He paused and looked at you, asking for permission to do to you what you’d done to him last night.
You nodded and he unbuttoned the first two battens on your shirt and then he stoped, placing his hand over a scar just below your collarbone. You put your arms around his neck and pulled him to you so your lips met. “Goblins…” you mumbled, referring to the scar. “I’ve got plenty more.”
“Why didn’t you make it vanish like the rest of our kind do?”
You kissed him again. “Because they tell a story…”
He smiled and slid off you so he could be positioned next to you. “You’re beautiful…” he whispered, kissing your cheek.
You smiled and smashed your lips to his, slowly rubbing your tongue over his bottom lip. He opened his mouth and you slipped your tongue in.
-.-.-
Lindir had fixed his shirt and was now brushing your hair so he could braid it for you. You had already put a few simple braids into his hair, his cheeks and the tips of his ears pink the whole time.
Lindir set the brush aside and began to braid your hair.
Then there was a voice. “Y/n have you seen…lindir…”
The two of you looked over to see lord Elrond standing in the doorway in shock as lindir held the nearly completed braid in his hands.
“A-are you two…”
You and lindir looked at one another before realizing what you’d just done. Braiding someone’s hair meant you were either family or… “yes we are…” you said, realizing it at the same time lindir did.
Elrond smiled. “Lindir, take the day off, looks like you need it…”
Lindir finished braiding your hair as his face began to redden again. “So I guess we began courting without realizing-”
Your lips cut him off. “Shhh…”
He smiled and pulled your body closer. “I love you…”
