No models today, we’re on vacation!
I’m visiting a friend out of town but still wanted to get some painting done. Allow me to introduce:
The Box of Mobile
Creativity
The Box of Mobile Creativity was a quick and way solution that I thought would be great to share for myself and others to transport small projects.
The box includes:
Water pot
Wet pallet
Brushes
Approximately 15 paints
Paint handle
And space for a medium-large model and up to 24 troop sized models
It’s really simple it’s just a shoebox with foam really but to see it laid out I think can really help others save some money and get the most out traveling with a small number of models. Now I use the army painter wet pallet and while I do think it’s a stand out wet pallet, I’m not saying you have to buy that one to fit it into a shoebox but it is the perfect size and holds brushes.
The foam is pulled out from Battlefoam’s pick and pluck foam pieces and man what a tough sell for a shoebox. They’re the perfect foam for this type of thing because they’re stiffer than the average Citadel foam but still more forgiving than like just regular packing foam. This will definitely be the thing you might have to try out a variety of things to get the best bang for your buck. If you have friends that have Battlefoam cases or your LGS let’s you buy some of the scraps for cheap take it.
Last thing to know is that the standard citadel case foam piece for carrying models is a little big but conveniently if you cut one row off from each side it fits a shoebox perfectly.
As you can see it’s definitely sizable enough to fit a Invictor Tactical Warsuit in just fine so it can carry most models except maybe some of the bigger tanks.
