Testing the news papers, this is how I’ll teach the player with combination of graffiti, do you like it or hate it?
More progress tonight: + Instance loading works for AI (This was a pain really), you can’t just run an AI mesh on another level, it’s a terrible idea to run it on your persistent level, so making it dynamic is the only way really. - Spent hours trying to get my head around instance loading level start, apparently “Persistent Level” isn’t where you set your player start, not really sure why this is such a pain for me, it might be glitched out, the position is something weird, it’s not 0,0,0 either. + AI only spawns when the player comes near that point, much like how GTA does it, complete with the instance loading they now follow the route and wont randomly run through and crash into buildings (That’s what the spheres you can see are, they’re collisions for this). This weekend I plan to have a bunch of player actions bug-free, and to have civilians react to you when you when you throw bottles at them/vomit on them. I want to make a vomit particle complete with decals, but I’ll see how I go.
There was a glitch in my apartment building (it was actually a hobo camp) and I could see into NPC’s apartments. This only guy was just playing jump rope all note. (Bonus hilarity: his pants are too short!)
