Today, I lost one of the most influential people in my life.

Last night, my favorite teacher, close friend, and honestly a family member, was murdered by his father.

He was caring for his terminally ill mother, when his father snapped, killing his son (Senor Gilkey, my teacher), and two of his wife's sisters. 

Words cannot express the loss my community is going through right now. 

He was a great man, with a contagious laugh, and a smile that never seemed to fade. He was always there for others, and was always willing to help out. 

Although he may be gone, his memories and effects on all the lives he touched will never die. 

Rest in peace, Senor Gilkey, with love from us all <3
