No Bombing In The Pool
This piece is following on with my theme of mocking famous artwork, inspired by David Hockney's 'The Splash'.
While researching famous artists for importation my friend told me to search David Hockney, who's name I had heard before but was unsure of his work. I liked a lot of his work and realised I had actually seen a lot of them before and judge never realised. I found one of his images called 'The Splash' which I did actually like but simply thought in my head, 'what if there wasn't a splash'.
I then used illustrator to trace The Splash but didn't include a splash just the original setting. I then thought about why there might not be a splash, and remembered all the 'no bombing' signs I used to see while I was swimming. So for good measure I used illustrator again to whip up a little sign that indicated that there was no bombing in the pool.
I liked this image as I respect and like David Hockney so didn't really take much of a dig at him as I did the lifeguards. I also really like the style of his work and especially this image although it proves hard to trace as the there were lots of straight lines which believe it or not are abusing hard to do using the pen tool on my opinion.

Blue again, nice work @tess71 #nofilter #poolfilter #hockneyesque
