okay, so maybe it looked worse than she thought — the devil's ivy leaves gone from striking green to a sickly yellow while the spider plants swim in a small puddle of water. she's even managed to maim the succulents, the waxy plants bloated to the point they've split open at the seams. what had meant to be a touch of lush undergrowth for the office had quickly gone to seed. hadn't that peddler told her that even an amateur would be able to handle these?
