Sonny’s Famous Steak Hogies

Hollywood. Cash Only. Sonny’s has been in this same location for over fifty years. Upon entering Sonny’s, located in an obscure strip mall, you feel like you entered a time warp. I like that vibe. It means old school goodness awaits. I wanted to visit Sonny’s after Mike Mayo gave it a great review in the Sun Sentinel newspaper. Interestingly Mike said he preferred the hamburger and the chicken parm hogie to the steak hogie. So I had to try both of his recommendations. The hamburger hogie is one of the best in town. Topped with the works on a home baked roll. The beef was charred perfectly and had that old school beefy taste that is missing in most burgers today. A top notch burger at about $7. The chicken parmigiana hogie was good. The chicken was fresh. The sauce was tasty. All in all a satisfying hogie. But it is the burger hogie that makes me want to go back for more

Been feeling pretty shitty this week for a multitude of reasons ranging from reasonable to "I HATE HOGIES WHY DID THEY GET ME A HOGIE?"

But for some reason the fight I just had with my sister made me feel better (because I yelled at her). So thank you, shitty sister whom I hate, for helping me let that out.
