Kate Bishop, famed heiress of the Bishop Publishing empire and frequent subject of this publication, has always been a little fickle. She's been sighted rubbing elbows with a bevy of handsome men this past year, including the noted Avenger (and old enough to be her father!) Clint Barton, and our favorite bleach-loving "mystery boy” (more on that below). It was shaping up to be an unusually sultry winter when suddenly, without a word, our favorite beach babe-turned-businesswoman left the scene entirely, disappearing “to be with family."
Family, indeed. Sources tell us that sparks continue to fly between the young heiress and her stepmother, the latest Mrs. Bishop, with no hope of cooling down soon. But the mystery has been solved, dear readers—and let’s just say that the hunky Hawkeye can finally get back to sleeping with our favorite killer and superhero Black Widow, because his young squeeze is officially off the market. That’s right, folks. Kate Bishop is married. MARRIED, if her Instagram and the great state of Nevada can be trusted. And it seems the stubborn socialite has not, contrary to expectations, taken the opportunity to lock down our beloved white-haired mystery stallion either. No, sir—reports suggest that the new Mr. Bishop is none other than Los Angeles Gazette columnist and noted hero-hater Miles Tillerman.
While we applaud Kate for “putting a ring on it” after all of her previous heartache (and to a man ten years younger than Barton--getting closer to age appropriate, Kate! Guess this girl wants to grow up to be just like Daddy), in this business, timing is everything. The new Mrs. Tillerman reportedly got married over Valentine’s Day weekend, the same day that her new journalist beau publicly outed an Avenger – Pietro Maximoff, alias Quicksilver, who bears a striking resemblance to Kate’s former bleach-obsessed boytoy.
You heard it here first, folks. Noted public figure and red carpet staple Kate Bishop’s ex-lover is none other than Quicksilver, the alleged mutant terrorist. Between this white-haired wireman and confirmed SHIELD assassin Barton (thanks again to the lovely and lethal Black Widow!), Kate seems to have a thing for the bad boys. However, Ms. Bishop has always been very open about her support for vigilantism—in many cases, it seems, putting her mouth where her money is.
But apparently, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. The new Mrs. Tillerman saw fit to not only out her ex, but to marry the man responsible. While the reason for the hasty crash and burn of this past relationship is unclear, sources close to Miss Bishop cite everything from a disappointingly quick finish (if you know what we mean) to Maximoff's mutant supremacy as the cause. However, according to the photographers tailing Bishop and her mutant man candy, this tawdry tale gets even more interesting. Valentine's Day morning, while his ex was off hitching her wagon to Miles Tillerman, Maximoff was mobbed at the Santa Monica Pier, where he was photographed with a gorgeous brunette—a woman he introduced to the stunned crowd as his wife! The wedding bells have apparently struck hard and fast, this Valentine’s Day. But new bride, beware! Social media accounts paint an even more damning picture of the newest Avenger. In recent weeks, several women have posted pictures of themselves with playboy Pietro, with nary a Bishop in sight. Perhaps the young heiress wasn’t too keen on sharing her toys?
It seems that morning is dawning on Stark Tower, and heartbreak is on the horizon. Maximoff, it seems, is not the only Bishop ex playing relationship roulette. How is the dashing Clint Barton going to react to losing another lovely lady? Reports have circulated about the appearance of a stunning blonde on Natasha Romanoff's arm at Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz's charity benefit this week. While both Barton and the Russian femme fatale have remained mum about the nature of their relationship, a source close to the team notes that the two are virtually inseparable. The pair’s love of making goo-goo eyes at one another has been a well-documented fixture at public events. But if rumors are to be believed, it appears as though their flirting days are over. And from the looks of the bombshell on her arm, the Widow has wasted no time in trading up!
