Nails of the Week: Dark Holly-Green Sparkle
It's been ages since I did a nail post but since it's the festive season, I figured it would be nice to do frosty evergreen tips since it's easy to do and makes SO much impact.
All you need is a dark green polish (or any color you want), repositionable glue from the craft store (the kind that dries tacky) and a loose pigment shadow.
A pale shimmer on top of a dark polish looks most dramatic.
A duochrome shimmer is more interesting but ANY shimmery loose shadow you have works.
Sparkles show up more dramatically against creme polishes; they blend into shimmery/metallic polishes.
Before using the repositionable glue, dilute it with a little bit of water so it's not too thick.
If you don't have a disposable nail polish bottle, just use a small paint brush from the art store.
Translucent interference pigments like MAC's Reflecks Transparent Pink, Transparent Teal, etc are the best.
